Are Fizzle charges trash now?

I had my Classic completely die after only a few months and the TWO replacements they have sent give the red ring of death on the Mach E.

My Grizzle has been flawless for nearly the year in which I have owned it. Its a simple unit but very solid and well made.

Same here - Used almost daily for a year+, no issues. I purposely went with it because it's a "dumb" charger and had rave reviews here and other places.

I have two units working flawlessly for almost 3-yrs now. One inside and one outside.

How is that possibly even a thing? There is no "installation". It hangs on the wall and plugs in. About as "installation" as a kitchen oven. (Actually, the oven is more difficult.)

I'm reading lots of had-mine-for-a-long-time replies so my conclusion is, indeed, they used to be good but their recent quality is high school shop class trash.

Your outlet could be doing something to the unit, there are ways an outlet can be installed incorrectly where you still get power but your devices get damaged.

Same here. I have had one for about 1 1/2 years and it has worked flawlessly.

You know, everyone says “don’t use the Ford Mobile Charger other than in emergency or as a backup.” Both my MMEs, that’s all I have used. With all the weather in my area, this one is starting to derate a bit (after a year) but I’m not going out to buy a new one any time soon.

I didn’t say it wasn’t the EVSE, you said “how could that possibly be a thing” when someone suggested the power source could be the culprit, I simply said that actually, it is a possibility ?‍
