I have a 22 GTPE. I have about 14k miles. Finally was forced to switch tires due to weather.

I went with the michelin pilot sport all season 4. I can tell right away they are quieter and smoother than the summer pirelli elect tires that came with the car.

Side note. 14k miles my rear pirellis were toast

Did you rotate your Pirellis at 10,000 miles per the manual? I do that religiously and have managed to extend the life of my OEM tires on the GTPE to 20,000 miles. But they will need replacing soon… 20K is about all you can expect from a performance summer tire.

No, I didn't, but that was my choice because I knew I was getting rid of them by early winter.

I think im going to do 5k rotations. There was a huge difference between front and rear tires. Definitely rotate!

Quieter and smoother, but how about performance and handling? Did you stay with 245/45/20?

I will need to replace my GTPE tires soon from the Pirellis and I am trying to narrow down my choices. I am leaning toward the Hankook iON evo AS but also considering Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus or these Michelins.

It's hard to gauge because it's cold. I'll find out more this week!

It performs the best in cold weather. It’s made for that. Summer tires get hard as a rock in the winter. But these stay soft and grippy in cold weather. Don’t be afraid to push it.
I used the summer only version when I lived in Texas on my Mustang GT. When I moved to Seattle 10 years ago, I switched to the all seasons. Couldn’t be happier. And I push my car in corners every chance I get.

Did you drive your 22 last winter, or is this the first winter? Reason I ask, if you spent a winter with those Pirelli tires, that would destroy them. They aren't meant to be used below 45 degrees.

I have PS AS4 tires on my BMW 335i and I've been very surprised how well they handle. Previously had Conti Extreme Contact Sport summer tires on it and you can tell the all seasons have lost a little of the immediate steering feedback, but grip in corners is top notch.

I'm shopping all seasons for my GTPE as well and I'm so torn between the Pirellis made for electric cars, the DWS06+ or the Michelin AS4. I want to keep the range, but also want the awesome Michelins that I have experience with, but also want to spend $200 less for the DWS lol.

Continental’s web site says that all of their tires are designed to be used with EVs. Not sure if that means they’re supposed to get great range though. I’m looking at the DWS06+ in a month or so, though. Probably will lose efficiency more because I am going to aftermarket wheels than because of a tire change. ??

Today we just put 245/50/19 Pilot Sport 4 A/S on our '21 Premium RWD.

This car originally comes with 225/55/19's and we just were not satisfied with the "stickiness" or rather lack thereof, particularly in wet conditions. It just was not enough rubber contacting the pavement to inspire any confidence. In fact, with the original 225's I could routinely squeal the tires on dry pavement off the line.

Fortuitously today it was raining so we got a chance to immediately feel the new set out in inclement weather, and I can say that both my wife and I noticed a night/day difference already. I actually had a tough time to get the tires to break traction (within safe limits of course, I could have definitely broken traction but didn't want that to end in the car kissing a guardrail).

Time will tell, but this is clearly the upgrade the car should have had from the factory. A couple pics below with the new shoes on. Excuse the extreme dirtiness, like I said it's been raining :)

Thanks for the writeup. I'm curious to hear how range is affected. Also are you getting any speedometer error? I've been considering the Pirelli Pzero AS Plus Elect, which are available in 235 55 R19, when the time comes.

I found Conti's very noisy a few cars ago when I put a set on.
They quited down after about 6 months ... or I just got used to em.

Been a fan of Michelin since.
