Took my 2022 Mach E AWD extended range in to dealership on Monday for the recall. They had a Mach E GT Premium ready for me as a loaner with a 100% charge and it had Bridgestone Blizzaks on it. Got my Mach E back yesterday and all was good, washed up and 100% charged. Could have picked it up a day earlier but I was gone for the day. Why not take advantage of the GT loaner?. Ordered part just before Christmas. Very pleased with the procedure. Thanks Lacombe Ford.

I'm glad to hear it went so well. I still have to get this done on my '21. Currently it's been at the dealer waiting a week for the TSB on the brake pads. My dealer told me they only have 1 EV tech, they are really backed up.

I called and made an appointment to bring the car in for service and at that time they told me it would be 1-2 days before I had it back. I was promised the car by the end of the week. An entire week has now gone by and when I called them, they told me they STILL have 5 cars ahead of mine before they get to me (giving me doubts that I'll have the car by the end of this week).

A better experience might be if they told me there are 10 people ahead of me ... and I should keep the car while they work through the workload -- when there's a chance they might be able to get to my car in the next day (or two) THEN have me bring in the car.

Did the GT tactic work?

The biggest difference I noticed in the GT was the improved ride, a lot less bouncy. We also found the seats more comfortable. The snow tires were 20” mounted on the oem rims. Power was a bit stronger but not as noticeable as I thought it would be. I’ll take the extra range of our Premium.

hm, I have the same make model(took delivery in Oct/2022)
Car has about 8000 miles on it. I did not go for servicing so far(will go at 10k mile)

Is mine impacted too, how/where can I check.
I do not see any warnings in the car or in the app

This specific recall does have language that they are to provide a loaner.

I think it’s on Mac Es built before some time in May 2022. I received a letter from Ford Canada shortly after the recall was announced last fall.

Called my Ford dealer Monday and got word today that the parts are ordered and estimate is 6 weeks to receive due to supply
I thought for the GTPE the parts were ”now” available ?
I live in a fairly large college town in central Texas and they have told me mine is the only GT they have sold. We will see……..

So far I had quite a frustrating experience with my dealer. :/ I talked to them in person in early December (when I was in the shop with my other car - Ford Fiesta) and asked them about the HVBJB recall.. they pulled up my car via VIN on the computer and everything and we made an appointment for a month later (January). I specifically asked them whether they're going to have the parts in to do this, because I had doubts they really would already have the new HVBJB within a month, but they said yes. So last week I drop of my Mach-E with them.. and get a call a couple of hours later that I should pick up my car again because they had to first "order the part". Lol.
