the peak charge rate of a Mach-e is only 110 kW
Who told you that?

And by the way, all that talk about power sharing on V2 Superchargers is irrelevant since non-Teslas will only be able to charge on V3 and above.

How many threads will there be rehashing the same things over and over, and over, and over, again?
About as many times as new threads will be started because someone isn’t getting the range they expected in the winter.

Tesla has been slowly changing their chargers. Some (mostly on the East Coast) have the "magic dock" where 2 cables are installed and are already being used. I forsee this being the workaround for using Tesla's chargers. I can't see ford being able to handle the logistics of a mass shipment of adapters., they can't even do OTA's.

Tesla has never been against getting as much Federal grant money as it can. Its entire existence has depended on it.
Do other companies try to get every tax breaks and federal grant they could if it fits their business model?

Do you intentionally leave money on the table when doing your taxes?

There is also one by A2ZEV.
Are those third party adapters approved by Tesla and the other auto manufacturers? There was a discussion last year about charging companies forbidding use of third party adapters with their equipment. Not all of the adapters worked properly with all car brands leading to problems like fires and damaged equipment. Another problem was the charging companies posted their bans on their websites (which few constantly visit and read the small print) and not on their chargers.
Ford announced that it was waiting for Tesla to design and make the proposed adapter Ford would sell us. Unfortunately, Tesla has a poor reputation for delivering promised products on time. Just look at their record with the Model 3/Y, Semi and CyberTruck. All were years late. So do not hold your breath. It may be many more months, even years before an approved Tesla adapter becomes available.

None of the adapters currently out have said who they are approved by due to NDAs.

Tesla will not be forbidding outside adapters IMO.

Ford said it would be a "Tesla designed" adapter, they never said Tesla would make it.

A Tesla exec recently said the network would open to Ford in February.

Ford said Spring. I expect it will be late Feb.

Jim Farley said in his interview that « Ford will provide adapters » to their customers. That implies that it’s gonna be free?!?

No. We have discussed that ad nauseam. It will not be free. Ford has stated it will be available for purchase on the Ford Accessories site.

Personally, I'd prefer that Tesla would just deploy the Magic Docks all around their infrastructure. In that way I don't have to buy or carry anything around, and all Tesla public charging infrastructure remains under one domain.
Disclaimer: I have no hope of that ever happening on a large scale, however.
Agree, but I don't think it will ever happen because that's less profitable for Tesla.

Some perspective on the relative size of charging networks in the US

Ford Mustang Mach-E Where is the Tesla Adapter?? 1706145056925

The cable length on old SC chargers needs to be solved, but SC access will change the MME experience massively. If even a third of the SC network were available this spring it would be like adding an entire EA network.

I'm not too worried about adapter risk... You can get a CCS to Tesla adapter that lets you charge a Tesla at an EA station today... I first saw one at an EA station more than a year ago being used by the techs fixing the EA hardware... while charging their Tesla.

I don't recall hearing about any fires from these... They are only carrying current about 6 inches.
