I'm looking forward to acquiring/using the Tesla Supercharger Adaptor but:

1. Why doesn't the apparent Adaptor design have an extension cable included so we won't have to park in an adjacent slot to use the Supercharger. I think we may have a lot of unnecessary verbal conflicts with Tesla drivers in our future when charging due to this issue.

2. Since we will only be able to use Supercharger V3+, will Ford Navigation, ABRP and other apps differentiate versions, so we can plan routes correctly? Right now they don't, that I see.

The native navigation is produced by Here Technology iirc. They’re the ones that will have to make a version 3 filter for the map. ABRP is owned by Rivian now. How they respond will be interesting.

The Ford Nav is already showing Tesla SuperChargers with Magic Dock that are compatible with the Mach-E and other CCS cars. I'm sure once the SC network opens up the same will be true of the V3 SuperChargers and V2 stations won't show up.

The simple solution is to install the superchargers sensibly going forward. At my Wawa, they converted a part of the parking lot for EV charging. most of the superchargers were installed in an area that was formerly parking spaces. Since they're "pull-through" type spaces, and the superchargers are installed in between the spaces, they can be easily accessed by almost any car parked on either side, without blocking a space (obviously two cars can't use the same supercharger at the same time).

Rivian has stated they will open their dcfc to others in 2024. Going to be interesting to see how they do it.

ABRP has already integrated NACS (Tesla V3+ SuperChargers) into their app under "Type of Chargers".

No matter where non-Tesla owners park their cars at Tesla superchargers there will be a lot of unnecessary verbal conflicts. Does anyone here really think a Tesla owner will not freak out over a Chevy Bolt being at one of "their chargers?"

I look forward to the YouTube videos of Tesla Karen's going crazy and demanding non-Tesla owners get out of their spot so they could charge their Tesla. It's going to be a great!

We have both a 2018 Model 3 and a 2023 Mach-E. We will not freak out. The MME of course will not be able to use the older (150 kWh and lower) Superchargers.

Per Reddit, the barometer for Karens everywhere, it seems they missed the original announcement last year. But when the "shipping soon™" messaging hit, they started freaking out.

My prediction is that the much vaunted Tesla uptime will take the same hit EA has taken when they start serving the great hoi paloi.

I already ordered this for the bed of my Lightning. I don't think any Tesla fanboys will give me any guff.

I don't see that.
To begin this is ABRP (Ver. 4.7.4) on iPhone. I'm not sure about Android.

In the upper left hand corner of the screen, CLICK the 3 horizontal lines. From there, scroll down and CLICK on "Chargers & Networks". Under this menu CLICK on "Type of chargers". For my Mach-E I can choose from CCS, NACS and Level 2.

I hope this helps.

UPDATE: I just checked and NACS does not show as an option on the website.
