Bluecruise 1.3 updates weren't deployable at the dealership for Mach-E Job 1 2021

I dropped off my MME JOB1 2021 at my dealership to deploy latest OTA, that enables BC 1.3.

After an entire month of back and forth with Ford, they provided me an update that my model isn't compatible for BC 1.3 updates.

Adding to the misery, I paid $600 for a three year BC subscription since Ford initally promised 1.3 updates will be compatible with Job 1 2021 cars, esp. upon buying the BC hardware at the time of purchase.

This is a total mess and @Ford Motor Company is to blame.

No one has the new version of BC on the older models yet. So yes it is not CURRENTLY available. Just wait 1 more month for the OTAs to roll out before you complain too much.

No one has the new version of BC on the older models yet. So yes it is not CURRENTLY available. Just wait 1 more month for the OTAs to roll out before you complain too much.
The dealerships are not able to deploy OTAs. They have a different way to accomplish software updates which ultimately results in the same functionality being updated.

There was some snag in the update process for older models to receive the update you are talking about. This is also blocking the dealership from being able to update you.

Also, it could be longer than 1-month until those BC OTAs are coming down to your car. You did not waste your subscription dollars, your car will eventually receive BC 1.4.

Thanks for the chimes. I've updated the title to reflect the issue than mislead. I'll await for OTAs and an updated process if that's the deal.

BlueCruise 1.3 will be available for 2021 Job 1 Vehicles but it has not been released yet to the dealers and is not available via OTA yet.

As a general note, I would take what dealers say in regards to OTAs and software issues in the car with a huge grain of salt. From my experience, the only people that speak/post publicly with definitively correct information on the MachE are limited to a couple of accounts on this forum.

I was cringing at the last line in this communication. I would not want them to perform a master reset unless it was an absolute last resort.
It's not going to unblock any updates, and all it's going to do is force the customer to go through and setup all their preferences again.

Sync Reboot -- Yes ?

Master Reset -- No ?

It won’t be 1.3 either, it will be BC 1.4.
By the time it's available it will easily can be 1.8 or whatever ford marketing thinks will make us feel thankful
