Yeah they shouldn't be doing Master Reset willy nilly unless stuff is actually screwed up. That can mess up your subscriptions.I dropped off my MME JOB1 2021 at my dealership to deploy latest OTA, that enables BC 1.3.
After an entire month of back and forth with Ford, they provided me an update that my model isn't compatible for BC 1.3 updates.
Adding to the misery, I paid $600 for a three year BC subscription since Ford initally promised 1.3 updates will be compatible with Job 1 2021 cars, esp. upon buying the BC hardware at the time of purchase.
This is a total mess and @Ford Motor Company is to blame.

Care to share the “as-built” edit information? Is that done via FORSCAN or FDRS?So the software for BC 1.4 is already in FDRS. They could update all the modules (which it looks like they did) and it will get you the software that's needed. Then to enable BC 1.4 all you would have to do is make some as-built edits in the IPMA and APIM and it will enable all features. That's what I did on my 2021 and it works fine. Granted if they updated all your modules, you could also then wait for the OTA to enable to features but at least you have the new software.
Also it should be noted that Ford is skipping BC 1.3 and going directly to BC 1.4 for everyone.
It’s done via FORScan. Manual edits to a few bits. You can use this spreadsheet to look up the BC 1.4 features in the IPMA/APIM and make relevant edits.Care to share the “as-built” edit information? Is that done via FORSCAN or FDRS?
Do you mind to remind what features 1.4 has over 1.3?Ford is skipping BC 1.3 and going directly to BC 1.4 for everyone.
I thought Ford was now skipping to 1.5. I recall reading a post here citing James disclosing some revolutionary breakthrough regarding BC. Hmm, maybe it was just a dream ?. I'm old now and get confused. The dealerships are not able to deploy OTAs. They have a different way to accomplish software updates which ultimately results in the same functionality being updated.
There was some snag in the update process for older models to receive the update you are talking about. This is also blocking the dealership from being able to update you.
Also, it could be longer than 1-month until those BC OTAs are coming down to your car. You did not waste your subscription dollars, your car will eventually receive BC 1.4.

It’s not editing the software itself, that’s not even possible since they are digitally signed and encrypted. It’s just editing the “flags” that enable or disable certain features. Basically the same thing as changing settings on your phone to turn wifi on or off.Manual edits to the software?
I’m going to put this into the- you may put your car and warranty at risk category.
If they aren’t releasing the software as is, there is something wrong with it. I wouldn’t do this even if I could.
Pretty sure that was just a sarcastic post due to the delays and how we already skipped 1.2 and 1.3 ?I thought Ford was now skipping to 1.5. The software is fine and still available to install via FDRS, they stopped the rollout due to OTA issues.
