Shipped Mach-Es Arrive at Kansas City Terminal With Deliveries Imminent

My dealer in SCAL tells me:

"Ford has not yet released any Mach-E from the plant but I heard they will soon.
Anyhow, Once the vehicle is in transit it takes about a month to get to the dealership."

They are incorrect. I have a friend at Ford corporate who conformed they are being shipped.

I don't know why this is even being questioned. Multiple photos of the cars in various states of transit and Tweets from official Ford sources stating as such.

On 12/23 he said: " I ordered every signal Mach-E here at the dealership & I don't see any of them moving yet. ". So perhaps is only monitoring some internal system and that's what it tells him. And this despite one of his customers posting in this thread that Ford directly emailed the customer saying his car shipped.

Interesting. When I plugged in a few of the VINs from dealers in my area (some FCTP, some customer orders), and the origin shows up as New Caslte, Delaware. Tried a few from dealers on the west coast and the origin shows up as Kansas City. I know that Port of Wilmington handles a large number of vehicle imports for Volkswagen, including those assembled in Mexico, when I visited the port for work from time to time over a decade ago; last year it also sent off Ford vehicles destined for the Middle East. Is it possible that Mach-E's are shipped here as well?

Like you, I got a New Castle origin for a Mach-E destined for Maryland; but Window Sticker says delivery is by rail. I reached the same conclusion you did. Ford shifted some of its east coast vehicle imports to Baltimore a few years ago, but still uses Port of Wilmington as well. Since Port of Wilmington is equidistant from NY and Washington, and has a large auto port with rail lines right on site, it seems possible Ford may ship mid-Atlantic bound vehicles from Veracruz to Wilmington by vessel carrier, then transfer to train from there. This would have the advantage of both large vehicle capacity and relatively short shipment times from Mexico to US railheads. Both of which might be useful when they have thousands of vehicles stacked up for delivery, with a heavy concentration of orders in the region. One can hope, I suppose.

With 4 days left in 2020, its questionable if any will reach the customer's hands. Pretty sure Ford will do everything within their powers to make sure at least ONE reaches someone so they can stay true to their words.

Maybe that was true for the Focus, and may be true for the Mach E once vehicles aren't backlogged on the lot. As of now, most of the Mach Es produced are in the parking lot at Cuautitlan despite any date on the sticker.

That indicates the Invoice Date, nothing to do with shipping that I see. It's the date the vehicle was invoiced, I'm guessing invoiced to the applicable dealership.

That doesn't seem to equate to the production date on the ford tracker site. For instance, my date on the window sticker (under the special order section) was 4 Dec. My build date was supposedly 16 Dec. It may make more sense for that date to be the date the car was SENT to the plant to begin production. Just my guess though.

I’ll have to wait until around June of 2021 to receive mine as I ordered on 10-12-20. I was pretty upset about this (even more so when my dealer told me I’d have my MME in December ‘20 or January ‘21!). Now I feel it is a GOOD thing and HOPE to take delivery of my new MME in June or July!

Mine is 10449402, I ordered two weeks before you, and I have a January 25th build week currently scheduled. I think you'll have yours in March if they stay consistent.

The date under special order was the date that my order was "Sent to Plant", and the date that my window sticker became available. That was also the date that my VIN tracker started saying in production.

Lol, just because none of his have shipped doesn't mean none have shipped at all.

I don’t have a reservation number. I ordered from Terry’s Ford of Peotone and the order number is 3255.

If you are talking about this date (circled in red). Then I believe that to be the invoice date. Which in my case is the day it rolled out of the building and staged in the parking lot.
