I need to have the HV battery contactor replaced per the recall safety notice and would like have a dealer that has done a number of them. Has anyone had experience with a dealer that you would recommend. FYI, I have 22,000 miles on my Mach-e PE and it has been great, no problems.

I’m still looking for a good place to go too, but all I know right now is one place you want to avoid. Do NOT go to AutoNation Ford in Union City.

They were supposed to perform an alignment, do two Customer Satisfaction Programs, and troubleshoot a squeaky door hinge. They kept my MME GTPE for 9 days, never provided any status updates, and when I finally went over this afternoon to check in-person, they finally admitted that they hadn’t started anything. Absolutely awful customer experience. @Ford Motor Company

I agree! Do NOT go there. They tried to scam my husband a few years ago when he was trying to sell off his Camaro. Refused to honor the written offer they gave him. VERY shady, typical car dealership scum.

I don't know if my dealership has done any repairs yet since I haven't had issues, but maybe give my guys a call and see? Mike Fitzpatrick Ford in Newnan, GA (30 minutes south of the airport on I-85). They were FANTASTIC throughout the buying process. I can't rave enough about that experience.

Unfortunately, both Mike Fitzpatrick Ford in Newnan and Fayetteville Ford are not (or no longer?) EV-certified for service. They both directed me to Union City. I’m looking for other options now that will provide better service, even if it means a longer drive.

Aww crap. Sorry, I hadn't heard that. Last I knew, they were buying in on the highest level of the EV tier thing that was going on a while back. I'll have to ask my sales guy what happened. Let me know if you find anyone in case I ever need to take it in.

It’s not on the south side but AutoNation Ford on Cobb Parkway in Marietta has done a great job on my 21 Mach e GTPE including contactor replacement.

Thank you! I was going to try Pugmire Ford in Carrollton, but they didn’t give me too much confidence when they told me CSPs are only needed when you experience the problem. I don’t want to wait for a charge cord to melt into the port.

I just switched my appointment to Marietta, so I’ll give them a shot this Friday.

Please report back about your experience.

We bought both of our current Ford EVS (a Lightning ER Lariat and a Mach-E GT) from Wade Ford in Smyrna/Vinings. They were independent up until mid-2023, when they were bought by Lithia Motors. They're a Ford EV-certified dealership and the sales experience with both EVs (one before the change in ownership and one after) has been great. I'd previously bought two ICE vehicles from them, and the sales team was great for them, too.

Before the change in ownership, the service department was good, and they had a good collision center, too. After the change, they turned the collision center into a dedicated fleet service department. The regular service department hasn't been bad since then, but it hasn't been great either. From my observation there seems to be one (and only one) service writer who knows his stuff and gets things done ... if you get anyone else, the answer is either "we can't do that" or "drop it off and we'll look at it in the next week or two; no you can't have a loaner".

There are about a dozen EV-certified Ford dealers in the greater Atlanta area, so having a few more options for service wouldn't be bad.

Thanks for all the great feedback. Looks like I may have to drive to Cobb Parkway. Have they been willing to provide you a loaner? I live in Fayette county and purchased my Mache from Fayetteville Ford, but unfortunately they no longer do EV service. Anyone have experience with Speedway Ford in Griffin?

Bought my 23GT at Angela Krause and their Sales Dept was good, can’t say about the other since I haven’t used them yet.

It appears as though the south side of Atlanta is an EV service desert. Newnan, Griffin, Fayetteville nada. AutoNation Union City is still ridiculous. First time I called I got the “you have to leave it for a month “. That’s not viable cause we’re a one vehicle family. Then I start getting letters from AutoNation that parts are available so I should bring in our MME. So I call them for an appointment, rent a car, drive up from Newnan and find that they need to write up the service order BEFORE ordering the parts! They want me to leave the MME until the parts arrive. Good thing I didn’t as it took over three weeks and I had to follow up. No call back from them.
Finally. We’re set for the recall work to be done. Back we go with our rental and now it’s only TWO WEEKS to wait. We tell them we need the car back sooner than that. Here’s where we made our big mistake we left the car with them after the Service Manger GUARANTEED it would be finished buy
next Tuesday (7 working days). Tuesday comes and they have done nothing! There’s a battery on the lift and they are waiting on a part from Ford. Fine, we leave the car and go on our 10 day vacation thinking that surely it would be done on our return. NOT! STILL have not worked on the car at all. Still waiting on the part from Ford to fix the other vehicle. So we pick up our MME on the way back from the airport out over $800 for the rental and no joy on the recall work. All of this rant is to concur with cwhite51.
USE UNION CITY AUTONATION AT YOUR PERIL!
Anyone know of a EV qualified dealer in Georgia that will provide a loaner? I can’t afford another rental and am willing to travel.
Thanks for reading this far.

Riverside Ford did by HVJB replacement. I'm not sure about a loaner as I am in Milledgeville and just left it there and hitched a ride back with a coworker. I dealt with a Rodrigo or a Rico (can't 100% remember) in service and they got it taken care of. This was after my local dealership told me they couldn't fix it, so I was in a similar predicament and they took care of me.
