I too am new to the luggage compartment anchor party, not to mention the car.

Are there any updates on availability, or actual availability of the OEM parts or the custom made parts?

HuntingPudel, I have a standard non-hunting poodle. Not many people know that poodles were originally working retrievers. They're great dogs.

The OEM parts are available in Europe. I just got a set from a dealer in Spain and installed it yesterday. I don't know about the custom made ones, my understanding is that it was a one-time group purchase and not available anymore.

The OEM part numbers are listed up in the front of this thread.

I would then start a check on availability with my dealers.

surely there will not be many on stock, because if these need to be replaced, the vehicle is usually a total loss. During my last action I bought all sets available in EU.

Alternative, ask for the the custom made ones. In any case, these were not as expensive as the OEMs. I do believe they do the same work as the ones from Ford.

Hello Ford, why do I always have to buy up the European market to meet the demand of North American MME drivers? Did this today once again. When will Ford finally be able to make the missing front cargo rings in the trunk available to the American market, at least as an option? Your MachE customers pay horrendous prices fĂĽr the EU parts (in production these cost max. 4 USD) just to add what you forgot.
Ford, do something!

I second that emotion! And Ford, while you're at it, we could use the ski / fishing pole / lumber pass through that our EU friends get to have as an option. They aren't the only ones who like to ski and go to the DIY stores! Oh, and another thing, how on earth do you figure out the update pushouts? And how about the tilt down in rerverse feature of the rear view mirrors which is supposedly buried deep in some module somewhere in the car. And there is also the issue of trailer towing which our European friends can do but we're not allowed. Wouldn't it be easier to really make this a global car with whatever regulatory tweaks may be required under applicable law?

fully agree with you Richard, not all EU MME do have the ski / fishing pole / lumber pass through though. At least we in Germany are missing this feature as well.

Carl, FYI it might be a good thing (!!) that I had never published my substitution of US-spec mirrors glass on outside mirrors with Euro mirror glass on my Mach-E on this blog... you helped me locate one of those mirror glass pieces a year+ ago.

The Euro Mach E outside mirror glass is a direct easy - peasy replacement for the US-spec mirror glass and truly eliminates the blind outside corner spots especially on the right (passenger) side - all without the concave distance distortion like on the US-spec right outside mirror. Their secret advantage is that they are slightly curved (on both outside mirrors) but only on the outside 20% or so of their glass surfaces. So the blind spot is pretty much eliminated, on both sides of the car, while the majority of the mirror surface doesn't distort distances on the right (passenger) side.

I actually even made a video of a comparison of the Euro and US mirror glass which clearly shows the Euro mirror glass's higher effectiveness at eliminating the blind spot while parked on a neighborhood road, but decided to not post a thread so as to avoid stirring up the.... well, let's call them the "experts-at-a-distance club".

And as the original organizer of the front trunk cargo rings group purchase on this blog a year ago, I completely support the strange, nearly heart-stopping notion that Big Ford Corporation could actually homologate as many parts of their mass-produced cars as possible across their worldwide models, unless actively prevented by regulations. I mean, trunk cargo net rings? Really Ford? How about rear fog lights? How about bumper tow rings?

There could be a market, hard to say how large it is. I am Carl’s newest customer for the rear cargo rings. It really baffles me Ford didn’t install those in the cars. Probably a chip shortage issue :)
