I just lost my 'connected navigation' as well.... and I'm pretty pissed off at @Ford Motor Company about it.I've had the free connected navigation for the past three years but my free ride just expired. Im not completely clear on what I have lost yet. It appears I can't plan or program any trips from within the FordPass app now. I know I lose traffic and weather. Still trying to figure out if I can do route planning and accurate charging station info for those rare long trips. I'm thinking I may just hold out and pay the $80 when and if I head out on a long trip but may try without it to see what I really miss
As far as I can tell.... you lose two things:
1. you won't get 'live' weather, traffic, or charge station location updates. This I can live without since I have auto-update turned off because I don't trust Power-up OTAs not to introduce bugs along with 'features'. I'm NOT happy that new roads won't show up if Nav updates are tied to PowerUp updates since I have lots of new development and new roads popping up all the time in my area.
2. you can't use voice Nav command to speak destination, and have to stop the car to type in destinations.... THIS really pisses me off since I'm not asking for new data or feature, I'd just like to continue using voice command to Navigate to existing locations while I am rolling on the highway.
