Would you take your MME in for service after 1 year and about 2,000 miles?

I’m coming up to one year of owning my Mach. I currently have 1,955 miles on the odometer.

I’m retired and I don’t drive it much.

The reason I ask is because I’m thinking why not just have it checked out to see if everything is good to go. Or is it a waste of time and money.

My Escape was killed by Rats nesting in front of my radiator and I didn’t take it in for service because I hadn’t put 3,000 on it in a year. The Rats have been eradicated and are not an issue anymore…

What would you do?

At 1955 miles I wouldn't unless it needs a state safety inspection.

I think you can check all of the wear items and fill the washer bottle. ??

No, because the Maintenance schedule, which you can see in FordPass, isn't time-based until 3 years.

FordPass does not have an initial time requirement, but the manual does: " 1 Do not exceed one year or 10,000 mi (16,000 km) between service intervals. " I know it is probably not necessary for a low mileage vehicle like the OP's, but could Ford claim a warranty violation if you don't take the car in for several years because it has low mileage?

Not unless they can prove the failure was caused by that.

My understanding of warranty is the company can’t deny a claim for that unless they are paying for the required regular service calls.

You can probably ask the dealership how much it will cost. My dealership did the first service visit for free, and second was $25 (covered by points), but I've driven a lot more since getting this car than I normally drive. Once you know the cost, you can decide if it's worth it.

At 10,000 miles they'll rotate your tires so 2,000 miles.... absolutely no reason to visit stealership unless you like giving them your money.

Here’s my Mustang. Figured the thread could use a picture.

All dusted off…

So here in Alberta there are a number of new 2022 Mach E’s still unsold. Sure hope the Ford dealership is doing an inspection on them every year?
