For most of the people on the FDRS thread who've updated an IPMA it's taken a powersupply capable of providing up to 40A (measured during programming) because the 35Ah battery in the MME can't be kept at a 13.5V level using just a battery charger that doesn't have a powersupply mode. If you managed to do it with just a battery charger...and not a power supply then you are unique.

“Update not completed” stuck.

I stopped getting notifications for software updates, but checking SYNC reveals that at least the last one wasn't reported to the FordPass app. Would someone please check my two VINs for installed and pending updates?

First VIN: No OTAs in queue. Last updates were the Tesla charger update followed by the connectivity update.

2nd VIN exactly the same.

6.3.0 was sent to you but it failed to install. The OTA trigger was activated and the files downloaded, but strangely enough, it never tried to install the updates and the OTA trigger expired.

I did a factory reset last night and am getting “process interrupted” error constantly, especially when trying to edit my profiles.

The only new code I see your car reporting now that I can attribute to this is:

APIM U0121 Lost Communication With Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Control Module 'A'

Try resetting the APIM. What did you do a master reset for?

how do I reset the apim? Just do the steering wheel reset? Just did that.

I wasn’t getting any updates for 2 months now and I read that doing a factory reset can sometimes help clear a message in the background that blocks future updates. I’m an idiot ??‍

No, the codes it is reporting are soft codes that won't trip any lights on the dash.

Yes, just the steering wheel reset. Not sure what is causing it, but yea, a master reset won't do anything to speed up updates being sent to you.

I didn't really know that IPMA costs that much to update. When I was updating IPMA I started with around 13.5v on battery with a battery charger that charges at around 16A and I managed to finish the update at around 12.2V after a few hours, so I guess a smaller battery charger should also work as long as the 12v battery is fully charged. Maybe a little bit too dangerous though.

Please use a regulated power supply. Chargers do not deliver clean power, regardless of their ability to supply amperage. Dirty power during an update may lead to data corruption. A regulated supply will deliver cleaner power. ??

Also, based on your session history in FDRS it looks like you actually haven't been able to update that IPMA successfully. I see you've tried often enough though.

Weird. Maybe I was using power supply mode with that battery charger.

And yeah I kept trying IPMA updates because it doesn't clear up even after it was reconfigured. Weird issue but I'm not sure if that's blocking anything.

The power supply you referred to is 12 volt. It need to be 13.35 min.
