Thanks for the notice. I will be part of the update party. I also don't have BC so probably not a concern. I want to update only the modules for DC charging (PCM, SOBDMB, SOBDMC, SOBDM, BECM), and possibly GSM.
I have not yet decided if it is worth updating RFA since I don't use PaaK
You're safe with GSM and RFA those all take flawlessly. I would do them.

I'm trying the non-problematic updates in about 15 min to ensure they work -- although @DevSecOps assures me they should cause no problems. @chrisGT , I will sell you on PAAK over donuts tomorrow, it's really good with the updates and nice once you build up trust with it.

Thanks for the warning. Some of the Job 2-incompatible updates may not even be available for my car since I have a metal roof. We will make sure to not install them anyhow. ??
You never know what Ford is marking as appropriate for some of its cars these days, it seems!

Yeaap these both updated without a hitch, and I did a little drive to confirm everything was working great.

My car is stuck at 1.6.1 (pre 1.6.1??? not even sure because it doesn't say anymore)...

1- Would I be a candidate for such an FDRS update process?
2- Anyone in the California Bay Area offering?

You might be part of the group of cars that are awaiting a fix from Ford. If you aren't i would suggest getting 21p22 first and if you have apim and ipma you're looking at 8+ hours connected to a computer so good luck finding someone.

Does anyone know the status of the ‘22s that are coming out with respect to latest versions of modules, updates etc?

So I just checked my December 2020 built UK model - all the new updates are showing as available in FDRS (which surprised me as we are not due to get Blue Cruise in the UK any time soon)

I also checked my Feb 2022 built car, and that doesn't have any of the updates showing (as expected)

When you say “as expected” is it because everything is already up to date in these new builds or because you were expecting Ford to send these cars out quickly and update later via OTA?

It was because I expect the modules to be more up to date from the factory on the 2022's.

Lots of the recent updates look like they are aimed at bringing the 2021 Job1 cars up to the level of the software that started being installed at the factory back in July/Aug last year. So a 2022 should be ahead of those as well.

Got it, thanks. Good to know. It was one of the reasons I didn’t mind ordering back in October and waiting.

I just sent you a message -- some folks are stopping by with Job 2 cars to be updated tomorrow afternoon. HOWEVER, I have not updated a Job 1 car and I've not paid attention to available updates that aren't relevant to me. Also ---- sounds like some of the updates you need take a looooooong time and probably will be done by a dealer if you ask for the 21P22 flashing to be done.

You might want to ping your dealer first -- but in general happy to help you borrow my stuff and help advise on pressing buttons. Might be a very long update that you want to have your dealer address first however.

Dm'd you my response. Thanks so much for the offer.

Like I mentioned, I had hoped that since OTA updates stopped working that any manual process (FDRS etc) would be plug-and-play.... no such luck I guess.

I will figure out my exact path based on my car and decide between dealer service (they seem to know nothing )or third-party.

Thanks again!
