All done and it took 10 minutes.

PCM, BECM and SOBDMC.

There was no ABS....and it's now disappeared from PTS as well.

Go forth and Mongoose.
I believe your the reason your ABS wasn’t updated is because the version from the last update (-CM) is fine and only the other modules needed fixing. Those that are still on the old (-CK) version will probably have their ABS updated.

For example, I see another 2023 that has every module including the ABS available for install and they are on the (-CK) ABS.

Does 1PD kick off for you with this new software?

hi, I updated my MME the last 2 days, worked out fine so far.

I really do appreciate the above post by @Mike G ! Thank you for this clerification.

One question to the specialists:
My wife has a Fiesta MY22 and I has a look on pending updates.
She has plenty of them. GWM, APIM, TCU, PCM, etc.
My question is, do I have to follow the same order for the ICE as for the EV? What else should you take into account?

I don't use 1PD. But my drive mode was switching unexpectedly. I'll check it out on the way into town for a wash.

GWM, APIM, and then TCU...and then other things.

There have been instances of back-to-back GWM updates, so don't be surprised if that happens to you.

The hold on the FSAs is still showing in PTS.

Has there been a new version of powertrain released? Arguably a bit premature in case they are still working on finalizing the config in FDRS.
Ummm...they were waiting on me to Val/Ver? ?

I just updated mine, also going to test while going into town. I can confirm my ABS was updated to the same version you’re currently on (-CM). My PCM changed tracks entirely, went from -ACY to -BMC.

Thanks @Mike G for that awesome write up.

I ended up making my way through all the updates and some new ones did pop up as well. I now have nothing showing in FDRS for SW Updates and I don't have the Sync 6.14 UI. I guess maybe I was completely misunderstanding FDRS, but is it not possible to push the new sync version through FDRS?

Post FDRS Scan - HELP WITH WHAT'S NEXT?
I have now successfully accessed the car with FDRS. However, there are some orange bubbles that won't go away so I don't want to update anything yet. I should note right off the bat that my car does not have the B&O DSP (B&O DSP/amp removed and replaced with a MoBridge Ford interface and an audiotec fisher DSP/amp), which I am assuming is the cause of a few, but not all of the orange bubbles. It is a 2023.5 GTPE (Sept. 23).

Is there anyone who can give me some pointers based on the pictures I am including? I don't need everything to be up to date. Specifically I can live without powertrain updates right now, but I would certainly appreciate thoughts on getting things like GWA, Camera stuff done. Thanks in advance!!

When starting FDRS the vehicle should initially be "Key On, Engine Off".

Before starting any programming you need to clear and retest to get rid of the orange (or red) module indicators.

Don't try to update something while it's in an error state.

From the Vehicle Identification Tab look for the blue button that says "View CMDTCS" and press that.

Scroll through the list when that refreshes and review the orange (you hope never to see red) module tiles and you can expand the hyperlink text to view the details.

When you've finished the light reading then select the "Clear and retest" button and hopefully all those modules will be reset to a green status. Then head over to the toolbox tab and select SW Updates.

Before you get into any of that let me advise that after you've updated something, you may run into a situation where FDRS throws an error when you try to update whatever your next module selection was. And when you look over to the left side panel all the module tiles are still showing "green". If that happens, go back to the Vehicle Identification tab and once again run the "Clear and retest' button to make sure that the module you're trying to update didn't enter an error state due to the interruption of communication that happens routinely during FDRS programming of some module. FDRS will leave the module tiles in the last state they were in before you started to program a module....if due to comms interruption a module is now in error...you won't know it because the module tile status isn't updated when you're returned to the available software list. So you need to go back and clear and retest as a precaution to make sure you're starting with a green board before launching a new update.

Then, to get your feet wet you can knock down some 'standalone' modules that don't impact other modules functions.....like say the RFA...or the OBCC, or the RGTM, or the HVAC. Then the BCM and GFM.

Do the cruise control related items in this sequence, IPC, CMR, IPMA/PSCM (those two are coordinated to update together).

One final note.....after updating a module (or a set of them if they're coordinated) when you are returned to the available software list you may notice that a new update has appeared...it's because something else you just updated has unlocked a dependency and enabled something new to be applied. If at any time a GWM, APIM, or TCU appears after doing some other update....apply those next, whichever one it was. Those three need to be done when they appear to further unlock future updates.
That’s an excellent post Mike. Thanks for taking the time to do it.

That APIM update has not been released for everyone yet. Not even with FDRS.

In late March, a dealer tried to run VDM config but it did not seem to clear that code. As far as the ACM code, that one is weird. Do you have any aftermarket sound system upgrades on your car?

Correct. B&O amp is gone. I have an upgraded sound system using the MoBridge as the interface to the car

Hell yea! I got a few audio upgrades myself. Ignore the codes and update away.

Nice!!! Do you get those codes? Do you use the MoBridge or PAC audio interface? I am wondering if I should switch to the PAC Audio…..

I don't, but I have the 18 speaker B&O set up in my truck (which is not terrible if tinkered with properly) and I left the ACM/DSP from factory, but replaced key speakers in certain locations with aftermarket ones and added true component speakers to the rear doors instead of the 2 ways that came OEM. Added subs/amp/LC2i to the mix and a Naviks HDMI interface to the APIM to add HDMI mirroring of my phone and a wireless camera while towing. I just know the codes that get triggered from vehicles that have aftermarket goodies from checking so many vehicles.
