Grizzl-E Ultimate 80A?

Anyone install this at their house? Curious if it's worth the price. I have to wire a new panel and service line from the pole anyways, so tempted to have the extra service to run this done.

Can't speak on this product but the Mach E can only charge up to 48A. Future proofing your service couldn't hurt though.

Does make me wonder about how ford uses the ccs1 DC(in non-dc) channels to boost the possible amperage in a level2 charger using their charge station pro for the lightning. Could this be used for the mache as well?

I think those DC pins are just for the V2H capabilities, not for charging.

Like others said, the DC pins there are used for V2H power when the grid power is out at your house. The Lightning, however, can charge at 80 amps.

I don't think the industry is going in this direction. Tesla and the Taycan have dropped their "dual AC onboard charger" option that could pull up to 80A for L2.
The number of people who would need or choose to charge at home at those speeds is not very many. There is no difference to cut the overnight charging time from ~10 hours to ~5 hours.

Now, if it was a new Grizzl-e duo that could split the 80A across two cables, then that starts to sound more interesting.

haven't seen much about the alpha classic being sold on the grizzl-e site either, curious about this one as there's little info on it. State of charge did an unboxing, and little else.

The 2024's will only be able to charge at 48 amps unless it's a fleet order that selects the dual onboard charger option.
