I've received mine. Got it with the yellow faceplate, to better match my cyber orange GTPE. $599 with no sales tax or shipping charge. Will be installed on Sept. 23rd, so no further info at this time.Anyone gotten the Alpha Charger? Seems it is the base Grizzle hardware with the smart functionality but includes a pretty fancy touch panel with some nice functionality and capabilities for minimal cost increase.
There isn't much available yet... I believe there is an early version Android App and possibly a iPhone app coming soon. My understanding is, at the present time, the functionality is limited to what is on the acharger.ca website... hopefully some good third parts apps come to the party soon to do some of the features you mention.Seems to be tough to find info about the smart capabilities. @skuker Can you share some info on that? I’d like to know if it can calculate/display charging costs, charge rates,
etc.. Also not sure what the mobile app story is.
I noticed this today but I think that coincided with when I did the firmware upgrade to 5.47. Have you reached out to support about this? Will keep an eye if that happens again on my end when I plug tonight. In the last couple days (after no issues with the Grizzl-E since the 5.40 firmware update) my vehicle has been giving a "Charge station fault" error at the vehicle set charging time.
@skuker or anyone else using the Grizzl-E Smart... any similar issues?
Interesting. Mine is scheduled to start at midnight, last night at midnight I got the Charge Station Fault error. When I went outside I unplugged and plugged back in and it immediately started charging without issue. My car was refusing to charge tonight as the car was hitting the Charge Station Fault error. I unplugged the Grizzl-E waited 10 seconds and plugged in back in. I then went to my car and unplugged/plugged the EVSE. After that the car started charging. Hopefully that was just a glitch following the firmware upgrade from the morning that left the charger in a weird state. I did notice after launching the upgrade process in the portal that I should have unplugged from the car before upgrading. Maybe that cause people the charger to be stuck in a weird state pending a reboot.
Can you see it broadcasting its WiFi network?I have the Grizzl-E Smart and can't get it set up and connected to the internet. It charges the car just fine.
I'm a bit disappointed in this. Had the dumb charger and it failed, they took it back and I paid a bit extra to get the smart version. I haven't been able to use it's smart features yet.
I sent an email after trying to call tech support so hopefully someone get's in touch and helps with this.
Maybe check the troubleshooting section of:I have the Grizzl-E Smart and can't get it set up and connected to the internet. It charges the car just fine.

There was a fault again last night. I sent an email (last time I just filled out there website form) to United Chargers to see if they can offer any assistance.Interesting. I tried to setup another charge window today to test it and got the error again. I then deleted the charge scheduling profile on the car and then reset it to go on again at midnight.
I have also reached out to United Chargers support, hopefullyit works tonight, or they get back to me or they release another firmware update.
I will update this thread if I have any luck.
Maybe check the troubleshooting section of:

Also found that the following manual was more helpful when I was trying to add the charger to their portal as that section in the EVSE manual was a bit light on details:
