Tesla Supercharger Access Delayed for GM, Polestar, Next Crop of EV Brands

Every story, every delay is good news for A2Z! That's certainly why I ordered mine (received it in three weeks).

Works great too. Used a borrowed one 11 times on a long trip this month.

In a backwards sort of way, it's a shame Ford and Rivian offered theirs for free. If it weren't for that, then it's just a matter of buying any viable adapter (like the A2Z), and it becomes much less of an issue.

(Well, that and waiting for the switch to be flipped for each automaker en masse.)

June is almost here and I expect one of two things: My adapter ships some time in June -or- I get a letter from Ford telling me that my estimated ship date has been delayed. ?‍?

GM didn't say that. They said "later this year", THEN retracted that after getting rebuked by someone.

She later clarified that the timeline is still spring 2024. GM does not have "a specific date" for when adapters will go out, but we have about three weeks until it's officially summer.

Let’s dissect this.

Hasn’t this always been the case? Nothing new here.

Still spring according to GM, the author assumed the date has slipped when GM says it hasn’t, she confuses GM adapter availability with Supercharger access which GM still says is spring.

I am of the belief that is article is poorly written, contains attribution errors, after all Volvo never even commented, and the Polestar spokesperson merely confirms the mid-2024 date that Polestar have always used.

I stand by my assertion there is no news here, even if everyone here believes a delay is likely in the cards.

I ordered mine on May 10 (tomorrow is 3 weeks) and still nothing. Not that I have an urgent need... but the only estimate I have is the original 15-20 business days (which technically Monday would be 15, given the holiday this week). So we'll see.

A2ZEV puts actual dates on expected delivery, not number of days. That said, 3 to 4 weeks has been the norm.

Before ordering the dates are shown on the website. Today is the 13th business days since May 10th, and yes this coming Monday would be day 15.

I called them and was quoted days - 16 business days. I ordered on April 30, paid for overnight shipping, and received it May 23. So that's 24 days, to be precise.

Quite frustrating experience from A2Z. Though it wasn't urgent for me.!

I had ordered mine on April 27. There was no communication until I emailed A2Z on May 16. Then after the email they send me the UPS tracking number and the adapter was scheduled to arrive at my home in 1 week. Until May 21 I had no updates from UPS and AGAIN after emailing them I came to know that my package was never picked up. Then luckily on May 21 my package got picked up. There was a another delay in my package and was stuck in Illinois and it is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. Today on UPS, its still stuck in Illinois . Today after having a call with A2Z representative, they are finally sending me another adapter which UPS say will reach tomorrow. So lets see.!

I am in the latter (April/May) group. I suspect I will be getting that letter. My car got delayed twice, so why not my adapter? ??

Im in the May group and dammit they have 1 more day or...or...or...I'll wait some more

The A/Z is a good piece of kit. When zi get my official adapter that might just go into storage.

Overnight shipping just means the shipping part, not the product availability part. Just shaves a couple of days off the shipping after the product is available at your place in line.

If they quoted 16 business days, that was almost exactly on time. Impressive.
