What's dangerous is car owners not exploring and understanding the settings of their vehicles before driving them. Fine, don't read the manual, but not sitting and going through the settings, then calling the car dangerous, is ridiculous.
What ever happened to RTFM?

What ever happened to RTFM?
I sometimes tell people that info is in the manual, usually after providing the answer, but rarely say RTFM.

I hate Bluecruise and will never use it.
I've used it at least 40k miles and really like it, works great, hopefully someday get the lane change feature but no big deal

I enable all features all of the time, the car transitions well between them. I have not had any issues. I also like all the warnings and alerts. Res speed signs, I would go so far as saying Ford should add an alert advising of any speed change more than 10mph, and even louder or more for 20mph etc. And maybe 5mph in parking lots.

ps - I am a hunk older than the complainant.

I, too, nearly immediately turned off auto speed limit. There are too many signs around here that are incorrectly positioned. And "speed traps" set up in some small towns sometimes don't have signs put where they can be seen in time anyway.

That's not very interesting.
Haha whoops I didn’t really provide any context.

I find it interesting that for many of these reported issues, people (such as myself) likely won’t ever experience because of the default settings that Ford put onto the Mach-E. I’m curious why people are running into these issues since it feels like they’re doing this to themselves.

I have a 23 Cal RT1 with blue cruise. As I am driving down the highway running at the posted speed of 70mph, my car suddenly brakes and slows down significantly. After this scary event has happened several times I have discovered that the blue cruise is picking up a 45mph posted on the frontage road. I stopped using BC for fear of getting rear ended and causing a dangerous condition. I did a quick search with no luck, am I the only one?
That's the very first scenario that popped into my head and I turned that thing off on day one.

What specifically did you turn off, the blue cruise or one of the BC functions? I've had people tell me to do different things.

No, you are not the only one. I turned mine off after my car started to mistake "Exit 88" signs as speed limit signs and would begin rapidly accelerating. I can't believe Ford hasn't disabled this "feature" yet. The folks in Dearborn must have forgotten about the Pinto debacle.

Ford gave us the ability to disable it if we drive in areas that present the challenges.
But some owners use Bluecruise on roads that won't present the challenge.

I used Bluecruise a few weeks ago on a 1600 mile all Bluecruise run. It performed magnificently. Much better than many previous treks I have taken.

The interstate conditions on that trip were admittedly ideal for the technology.

Wrong setting, disable predictive speed assist.
On my 2022 I don't see 'predictive speed assist', but I do see 'speed sign recognition'. Is this the same feature? Also, I think it used to have a tolerance slider, but that is gone.

I tried looking up the manual but the website says " The vin filtering service is currently unavailable" and gives me a 2022 edge manual instead.

Yes. You have a different model year so it’s different.

Dallas traffic is fast. I lived there for 30 years before I moved to Seattle. Every time I visit it drives me nuts that people get pissed at me for doing 75 in a 60.
You sure it's not over the 4/29 post/thread ?
