You managing to get close enough without taking two spots?

Only Tesla I’ve tried so far had a pull through charger so I just did that because it was easy.
My nearest Supercharger has the units far enough apart to edge the nose of the car between them, and the curb is low enough that my MME Premium air deflectors clears the curb. (I fear that a GT might hit the curb.) With the tires against the curb and the nose between the units, the cord has no problem reaching my car. And (at this particular station) the yellow stripes separating the chargers are far enough apart that I can keep the car entirely within my space. Unfortuntately the next closest Supercharger location is not as conveniently situated. There I need to parallel park in the space intended for vehicles with trailers. Fortunately no one with a trailer has needed that space when I was there.

I definitely agree with you on that.

Not sure I agree that DC charging is all that critical, however. Most people just don't want to bother with the hassle. Of course, there are EV owners that care deeply about charging on the road, but they are not a large percentage of all car owners. At least not yet.
It's like wanting an SUV or pickup that can do lots of things, even if rarely using all those capabilities... when plunking down 60 grand, people want that "just in case" capability. That includes easy DCFC charging. They want it to be easy and dependable, even if they don't use it much.

Plus there's just a general fear of getting stranded on the road. DCFC is unfamiliar territory for most people coming from ICE.

You think the layoffs were the same people that man the machine that spits out adapters?

That's manufacturering folks, isn't it?
While no one has stated this for sure, expert commentators have been fairly certain that Tesla engineered the adapters and someone else has been contracted to produce them.

It is entirely possible that the folks who receive those adapters and ship them to Ford are in the Charging Team and were sacked.

My point is you are overthinking a CEO's interview. He wasn't doing that sort of math. You are literally turning his off the cuff numbers and some WAGs into an accounting sheet.

We don't know that 2,000 number is right. We also don't know how many are planned for a June delivery.
Sorry I forgot to add the /s, I’ll fix my post.

So you’re at 90001400? Around that number, when did you order yours? Mine was February.
1400 would be the first half hour of the first day (Feb 29). I was about 35 minutes after the time orders were allowed to be placed (8am ET) and I got #1922.

**edited: I meant 8am ET. I'm in MT, 2 hours off, and added the wrong way.

yeah if you can get past all the whining and complaining about literally EVERYTHING. ;)
I whine when I have to potty and someone with thumbs is just sitting next to the locked patio door. ??

I agree with @Kmp14 the Ford mistake was making a deal with Elon, he lies, breaks deals and only cares about his own stock. It was a terrible move to partner with them. The entire "opening up NACS" was a play to generate buzz and get his charger made standard. Corporate america, lets waste everyone times chasing stock price.
The EV charging infrastructure fight in North America was Electrify America's to lose. They did so and in spectacular fashion. Only Stelantis has failed to reach an agreement with Tesla to allow access to the SuperCharger network.

"ain't getting nothing in june" - so it sounds like you WILL get something in June! ;) Tho I'm 1717 and see little hope I'll see mine either.
