Do you think the BlueCruise update is still coming to MY21/22 cars?

Is the Bluecruise update still coming?

I’m curious if it’s stalled by build date as I’m a lucky December Job1 contestant.

I have no evidence to back this up, but I think ford has made the next operating system their priority for the programming teams.

I think they'll update it...eventually. A lot of owners will let their BC subscription lapse until 1.3+ goes out.

Ford will probably take a page out of Tesla's playbook and offer a free trial to owners with lapsed subscriptions to encourage uptake.
I have 1.3 and I can say for a fact that, while it's pretty good, it's nowhere near worth the ~$80/month Ford is asking for the subscription.

Supercruise is more feature rich for a fraction of the price, the only thing Blue Cruise really has over it is lane centering outside of mapped roads (including working without the subscription). GM could/should easily add that to theirs. Ford is insane to be asking as much as they are for Blue Cruise with how few roads it supports hands-free compared to the competition

That strategy only works if the product is good. And worth the price.

Hi, welcome to the forums.
I mean, isn't the point of a forum to discuss the car, recent news, and post our opinions? I'm just wondering what people's vibes are on this matter to see what the consensus is and if it matches my thinking that we won't be getting the update.

Looks like you changed the poll and not the title. whatever people voted on probably doesn't represent what they meant anymore
No I changed the thread title. Feel free to vote again since it was confusing. I made it so the vote could be changed.

So looks like it's hovering around 50/50. About what I expected. Not much confidence in Ford's product/service or OTA abilities. Communication would greatly help in this matter @Ford Motor Company.

How is it in any way valuable to know what people "think" about this? Unless someone has concrete information, it seems pointless.
I'm sure one of the replies was from someone with concrete info.

I find it very odd that my answer to the title is no but my answer to the poll question is yes. That may be confusing people.
And thanks to this, we'll never know.

Ford will certainly use this poll as proof that what they are doing is correct.

Ford seems to have hit pause on updates for the time being. I'm not sure why, but I wouldn't be surprised if they are working out some kinks in the OTA system before rolling BC 1.3/1.4 out to the masses.

As anxious everyone is about getting BC updated, each of us would be MORE than angry if the update borked the car and it was temporarily undriveable.
I believe the capability is there, just not sure of the when.
If OTA is struggling, they could do a dealer program where you get a free appointment to get updated upon paying your subscription renewal.
