'thank you for your patience' email, with no update news ?!

I am jealous. No email for me, saying my adapter is on its way. Of course since it was lost in transit (Thanks FedEx!), and Ford is replacing it, my adapter has probably fallen out of the normal pattern of things. It's been a week. I wonder if I should ask for another status update. ?

I received the same email. When I went to check the status, the order that I placed in February, that was moved from May to June, still says June.

Not even looking but my order that was moved from May to June was just shipped. Number 51xx. Some numbers higher than that have also shipped so looks like more are on the way.

I got the 'thank you for your patience' email earlier, and then the 'your adapter has been shipped' email just now. #59xx

I got that email today at about 11am edt. Checked status. Still showing June. At about 3pm I got another email saying that the adapter is ready to ship. Status on the ford site directs to fedex which says label created. This is order from 2/29 number 059xx. Oddly… Lectron is now showing 1-2 days to ship.

FEDEX now has the package. Scheduled for delivery on Tuesday.

The adapter arrived on Tuesday as promised.

I think this email is just a "your adapter is most likely going to be delayed, and we can't get an ETA from Tesla on it, but we still intend to get it to you, as soon as we actually have it..."

I think it's nice of them to do this. Lets people know it's not been forgotten. Wouldn't hurt to do something similar with the BlueCruise update.

I get you might find that pointless…but nothing seems confusing about it.

I didn't say it was confusing, I said it wasted my time since there was no update or change in estimated delivery.

I got an email today (6/14/24) from @Ford Motor Company thanking me for my patience and encouraging me to check on status. So, I logged into Ford.com and my order page still shows original ship date of July 2024 for my order (#22003).... and there is no change on the page, still shows July.

so why tell me to check, or bother to thank me for my patience since we are still before my original estimated date of 'July'?

A survey dialog popped up, and I filled it out... basically telling them that my visit to the site was a waste of my time as there was no update on the est ship date.

...and even stranger, I just went back again, logged in, and all pages under my account are blank now ! no content !!

Lol, got mine too, received my A2z adapter last week, trying it for the first time today. Took 3 trys but it seems to work well.

Not part of Ford's program, my Ford order number is in the 76k range and says September. Bought the A2Z adapters, I bought both, for around $280 US. They took a month to receive

I got a Ford email saying to be patient - 6 HOURS AFTER I got the email saying it shipped.

Two items to note:

1) We also got the email from Ford yesterday - thanking us for our patience in this matter. When I went to the Ford App, it noted we'd originally requested the Tesla adapter on May 22, 2024 (we'd picked up our new MME the day prior) and estimated delivery would occur this October. There was also details about shipping as rapidly as production delivery to them would allow; and it gave the telephone number for the accessories department for us to call with questions.

2) We all know this email was computer generated, and as such, it is subject to silly things like telling folks that their adapter is (still) due in July. However, ones like the one we received would indicate that Ford is trying to move this process as rapidly as Tesla performance will allow. Let's not forget that good ole $50Billion Tesla CEO Elon Musk has more to do with this delay than anyone at Ford!

At this point, my guess is they center everyone the same email at the same time and a higher-than-normal number of people are now trying to log in ... and their servers can't handle the load. You're getting a blank page because it is timing out.

It's funny because the same core algorithm of spacing out your email sends is the same that you need to do for OTA updates. Of course anyone can make a mistake and put the outbound throttle too high on the email, but

I think it's OK for Ford to send a "we haven't forgotten about you" email, but they could have said right in the email "there's no change in status" or something. That would have been slightly nicer than causing us to waste time clicking on their not-well-operationalized website
