I had a guy ask me yesterday what kind of gas mileage do you get on your Mustang ?

He was checking it out big time when I was walking back to my MME.

He was quite surprised when I told him that the gas mileage was awesome because it is electric…

Dennis, I guess I need to spell this out as I am not doing a very good job of it. Yes, the topic is what is the Mach E, on that we can agree. But, when you start making it personal and even use the word prejudice , you are off subject and making it personal. If you don't get why that is inappropriate on any forum I don't know how to make you understand that.
If you have read through this entire thread (quite lengthy I might add), I clearly stated on how silly this whole debate was/is early on.

The MME is obviously a Mustang. It is that plain and simple.

I was just trying to add of why I thought some on this thread choose to ignore that simple fact.

The word "prejudice" has many different meanings. Now if you want to take offense to that, that is your choice.

Whenever my kids played in little league, I was prejudiced to wanting them to win and thinking they were better. That is not a totally bad thing but it is a point that I was trying to convey on why I thought it came down to. I realized that it was not "healthy" to have those thoughts but it was hard to see another way in some cases.

People have preconceived views and it is hard to change their mind. This is just one of those silly things that is easily proved for them to be wrong.

There, I cleaned that up for you. ?
Back at you Bro. I put the finishing touches on it. No doubt now. You are officially on-board as a believer now and even memorialized it with your post.

Now we only need to convince the other "non-believers" that the car we drive (MME) is a Mustang as stated.

:whew:
I am impressed we were able to solve this riddle in only 14 pages.

Whew.....................

If Ford is suggesting that the Mach-E is not a "real" Mustang, can one sue them for deceptive practice?
<SNIP>
The problem here is that Ford (the company selling the item) owns the copyrights in this market for the names “Mustang” and “Mustang Mach-E.” Farley can call it a Chevelle for all I care, but it still has the Mustang Mach-E name on its registration and title, so that makes it a Mustang Mach-E. ?‍♂?

That was in jest.

I agree that they (Ford) can call it anything they want to. In fact they did just that, they called it a Mustang even though their CEO tried to imply they didn't? For those that are still convinced otherwise, they can sue Ford and see how far that takes them. When they lose, they hopefully will get on board to seeing it my way and realize it is actually a Mustang, "a Rose by any other name would smell as sweet'. After all, whether one wants to refer to it as a Mustang or not, it is still a cool car in my book.

The Mustang Mach E is well, a Mustang Mach E, nothing more needs to be said, not sure why anyone would. ?

Has the CEO suggested such?

Is the Mustang Boss not a Mustang because of the word "Boss"?

You do know that "II" and the word "too" sound the same? ?
I guess they weren’t allowed to call it A colt?☹

Here you go!

You know every time they show that dodge hornet on like the price is right and they give it away. If that thing was electric that would be a really nice car. I didn’t realize how expensive that vehicle was?

Bill Ford says it’s a mustang. Bill Ford is the chairman of the company that owns the trademark. Bill Ford is also the head of the family group that controls the majority of voting stock in the company that makes the vehicles called mustangs. It’s a mustang. Anything else is arguing for the sake of arguing.

All this does is prove that people at Ford are having the same debate.

So the final answer to the question, “Is the Mach E a Mustang?” Is, “It’s debatable.”

Even the very forum we are debating on is called “Mach E forum,” for good reason. It’s something different.

There is no debate. Mr Farley is an employee of Mr. Ford. Bill Ford will still be there long after Jim Farley leaves, and it’ll still be called a mustang mach-e.

If there is not debate, then what are we talking about here?

People disagree with their bosses all the time. Sure sounds like this naming is an internal disagreement.

Although disagreement about the name “Mustang” is traditional at this point.

60 years later and they still can’t decide if it’s a horse or a plane.
