Should I start arguing that I drive a Ford GT since my Mach E has “GT” as part of its name?

Some here seem to think that sharing part of a name is all it takes to be that thing. ?

Excellent point, anyone who owns a Mach E GT can just say they drive a Ford GT.

You are close.

The Mach E has the word "Mustang" in the Model name where as the GT is the Model name.

I know it is semantics but you could still say you have a GT but you are representing the Trim Level with your Mach E description and not the model.

You can however suggest you own a Mustang model. Granted, it is a Mustang Mach E but in any event, you can easily prove you own a Mustang Model by merely showing them the window sticker where it clearly states as such.

Will say though, Mustang Mach E at least looks and performs like a derivative of the “Mustang” brand name it bears, so I guess that qualifies it as a Mustang.
