Jesus Christ. Almost tempting to believe the dealership lied to you and never replaced it in first place. For it to brake so soon after replacement seems… fishy. My MME GT went in for the HVBJB replacement, after a total breakdown with the dreaded "Stop Safely Now" message. Everything on the car died, due to the 12V battery going flat. It took 8 weeks to get fixed, then exactly the same thing happened again within 4 weeks, and only 400 miles extra on the clock.
Has anyone else had the problem occur more than once in such a short period?
The only pictures I have of my Mach-e GT are ones with it sitting on two different trailers !

An updated part appeared in (I think) July of ‘22. It was slightly better than the original part. The third version of the part appeared in November of ‘23. We have not heard a lot about it failing. Presumably, it’s the part that is 2024 models. Since Ford both increased peak torque and the duration of full power for the 2024 GT, the assumption is that the part being used in the 2024 GT is much beefier than the ones used in the ‘23 and earlier cars. I know, lots of supposition and assumptions being made here. ??Dang this isn’t looking good. Mine popped at 1 month old and 1750 miles on the clock. I thought the 23 had the “updated” connector. Pretty sad for owners to have their vehicles in the shop constantly. Hearing that you‘re on your 4th hvbjb is ridiculous. I’m half afraid to even drive my car when I get it back cause it might just happen again when I’m not close to home ?
2 weeks later and my baby is back. I really missed it and hope it doesn’t happen again. Kinda curious if they put the 23 (gen 2) back in or did they put the gen 3 hvbjb in? I hope they put the latest one in but I doubt it. It’s a shame their is such a big flaw in an otherwise fun/solid car.An updated part appeared in (I think) July of ‘22. The third generation part was put online I. November of 2023. This far past it I would doubt that you got a second generation part. You can tell by looking at your invoice which part was installed. ?2 weeks later and my baby is back. I really missed it and hope it doesn’t happen again. dang that’s sad to hear ?Mine just took 104 days and they refused to buy it back likely because it was just outside being eligible for lemon law. Still have yet to hear back about any kind of reimbursement.
Just got my invoice today and I think I got the 3rd gen hbvjb as it has a -C on the end of the part number assuming -A and -B are the first and second versions. The third generation part was put online I. Yes, for the GT, the letter suffix (so far) represents the version. LK9Z-10C666-C is the current version. I had mine replaced a few months before that one came out. ??Just got my invoice today and I think I got the 3rd gen hbvjb as it has a -C on the end of the part number assuming -A and -B are the first and second versions.
And for an update, still have yet to hear back from Ford.dang that’s sad to hear ?
