Hey everyone, :surprised:

I’m looking for some clarity on the ongoing recall campaign #23S56/23V687, specifically regarding the high voltage battery junction box (HVBJB) replacement and the updates needed for the powertrain control module (PCM), battery energy control module (BECM), and secondary on-board diagnostic control module (SOBDMC).

This came up for me in October 2023, but it seems like the remedy is still not available. Does anyone have insights into why this recall is taking so long? Any updates or information about the cause of the delay and the expected timeline for the remedy would be greatly appreciated.

Also, has anyone received a "random" email from Concierge Kevin at Ford regarding the Safety Recall. The email mentioned:

“We apologize for the inconvenience and value you as a member of the Ford family. We hope that you will reach out to us at 833-807-3673 or your local dealership as soon as possible. As I will be completing your case, please look for an email in the next 24 hours with a brief survey regarding my efforts and your experience with me in completing your case – Ford and I value your feedback. Once again, we apologize that we were unable to assist you in completing this recall.

Curious to hear if others have had similar experiences or any updates. There has to be a thread I am missing or something.

It’s available. I just had the HVBJB recall done like a month and a half ago in mid-June.

(I scheduled the appointment : non-emergency/failure.)

It’s available. I just had the HVBJB recall done like a month and a half ago in mid-June.
I am still waiting, 7 months since email to call to schedule, but per my dealer they are awaiting parts.

I am still waiting, 7 months since email to call to schedule, but per my dealer they are awaiting parts.
Maybe try a different dealer. If they only need the regular parts, nothing additional, those are readily available.

On 6/25 my 2022 Premium was scheduled on 10/8 for 23S56 and 22P31.

I finally got the letter from Ford in early June. Right up until I had the work done it was still showing online "no remedy available". I had the recall done about two weeks ago. It just cleared recently.

They had no problem ordering the part for mine once mine was welded open. But yes, until then, my dealer could not perform the recall and the part was unavailable.

I got the same email from Ford and promptly called my dealer.
They gave a BS answer about how they only have one EV tech and they keep a waitlist for HVBJB, and she was adding my name.
I know it’s BS because I called 6 months ago and was given the same answer and supposedly put on the waitlist back then.

I think they have no interest in performing a complex recall that Ford pays them less than what they could make on other repairs. Seems like that should not be allowed.

I had same issue for 8 months but beware. Update was performed last month. After I received the update in my 2022 GT, the B&O audio went “bad”. Center speaker sound is distorted. Service says Ford is aware of problem and software update to fix is not available until 4th qtr. love my GT when working, beginning to hate Ford though for their incompetence.

Mine went between parts available and remedy not available several times. I got the dealer to schedule it in May and they had no trouble getting what they needed, even though at the time they did it, my online status said "remedy unavailable".

This happened to me last year; I replaced the center speaker on my own. I didn't receive any updates right around the time it went bad though. I think it was like $38 and it was a 5 minute job. Not sure if the cause is the speaker, the software, the electronics, or something causing damage to the speaker, but I haven't had any distortion since I swapped.

I just got my HVBJB replaced due to the original part finally failing. My dealership had a spare in-stock already and didn't even need to order anything.
