Not yet. It's gonna be dry as a popcorn fart here for quite sometime too. But I'll report as soon as we get some precip.Any bad weather encountered with these yet??
Thanks for the info. I'm sold on them Goodyears since my #1 priority is QUIET. How many miles did your original Michelins last, and at what tread depth did you replace them? I don't think I will make 25k and I keep the inflation up. Perhaps too heavy a foot?Follow up. Today, with the tires properly aired up, I went on a 170 mile round trip in 90 degree heat, virtually no wind.
Right off the bat the energy use bounced up even higher than I used to get with the old tires. 3.3 KW was pretty solid the whole way up and back, other than the beginning of a new segment.
Handling improved as well, with the "mushy-ness" seeming to go away. Bumps were a bit more noticeable. But not jarring like the old tires. Just more noticeable. Nothing alarming.
The extreme quiet of the tires stayed constant! Yeah!!
The roads I traveled today were almost all but about a 25 mile section up and back, in good shape. The 25 mile section was rough enough to test the ride for sure.
So there ya have it so far. At this point, after day 2 and about 310 miles, I'm very pleased.
No problem. They are MOST definitely quiet. The old Michelin's were horrible. We made it to 40K on the originals. I tend to have a heavy foot as well. We were at 2/32nds on two tires and between 3 and 4/32nds on the other two. So it was definitely time for new tires!! The dealer was quite pricey and there was no rebate, but using my FordPass points covered about 2/3rds of the cost. Thanks for the info. I'm sold on them Goodyears since my #1 priority is QUIET. I got 50k on my Primacy’s. After the initial tire spinning thrill, I just drove like a normal person. Thanks for the info. I'm sold on them Goodyears since my #1 priority is QUIET. Define "normal"....am I abnormal because I LOVE that torque?I got 50k on my Primacy’s. After the initial tire spinning thrill, I just drove like a normal person.

I have about 3K on mine. So far so good. Still nice and quiet. Maybe a slight reduction in range. Slight. But the quiet is worth it to be sure!I know this is an older thread, but I'm curious about how everyone's ED2s are holding up. Trying to decide between these and the WeatherReady 2s.
It’s worth noting that the range reduction on new tires vs worn tires is noticeable, and that’s not even taking into account switching tire models completely.I have about 3K on mine. So far so good. Just to follow up. We made it through the winter, with a handful of snows (two or three over 6", I know that's not HEAVY) with no issues. In fact the very LAST snow we had we got stuck out in near white out conditions with temp vacillating between 31 and 33, with wet/slush pavement, sometimes what appeared to be conditions wherein black ice could develop at any second. She held the road beautifully. We had about 60 miles under those conditions. White knuckling the whole way. BUT no handling issues.Any bad weather encountered with these yet??
This does not surprise me. Goodyear has a good name, but it makes some of the worst tires on the market for uniformity. Cooper and Toyo are also not great. Nitto is not great either.Another follow up. One of the tires has become virtually unbalanceable. I had a road force balancing done, which was recommended by my dealer. They had to put an ungodly amount of weight on it to get it close. The rim was fine by itself. I'm going to replace the tire with a new one and submit a warranty claim on that one tire. On top of this tire, we are now experiencing very similar LOUD road noise (a howling) to what we had with the OEMs. The car's alignment has been checked a couple times and is within specs. The local Goodyear dealer says THEIR specs are much tighter than Ford's. So when I get the new tire, I'll have them check alignment again.
So, just like the oems, I'll be happy when it's time to get new tires. Such a bummer, after such an incredible start.
Can you post a picture of one of the car's tires on the rim? I ask because it's possible they are installed incorrectly, but once in use, there may not be a way to correct them.Another follow up.
