Impressed. It would take me at least 20 minutes to locate the little plastic clips which went flying all over. I think I will do it the way you demonstrated.
I have lost clips but only when I first started taking the panels off. After taking them off several times and greasing them up with a bit of silicone, they come off easier without flying off. Some here have permanently attached the clips to the panels with tape.

I still think the access to the battery is a dumb design. Should have easier access to the battery. If you buy a battery at AutoZone they will replace it for you. But I'm sure if you have a Mach-E they will laugh at you and not swap it for you.

Don’t listen to the video about replacing with a different battery. The point of the video is to show how to do it. I replaced mine with the proper AGM one that I bought from Ford.

Other comments:

I had no issue pulling the battery straight up

You only need to remove one end of factory strut bar. It was super easy to push out of the way.

if yall want to remove the frunk go for it. Just wanted to let you know that this other method is super fast and easy.

I realize Ford's designed access to the battery might seem like a poor outcome at first glance, but I SO appreciate the extraordinary effort, and compromises made in order to provide the Mach-E owner with an amazing Frunk. That frunk is the real deal!

As for needing to remove it every few years to replace the AGM?

I removed the Frunk within a couple of days of fetching the Mach-E JUST to see what's going on underneath. It's a 1 in difficulty. :)

I rather enjoyed the minor exercise. But I'm not exactly someone who's in a rush very often either. Hurry = stress for me. I avoid it like the plague.

I figure I will be removing the tub every 6 months or so just to clean things up under their and to keep an eye out for any signs of leaks?

Hardest part of removing the frunk tub: Getting the little covers off at the back wall of the tub. Sometimes the one on the driver’s side just doesn’t want to come off in less than 10 seconds. ??

EDIT: I see that @markboris uses a metal pry tool. My dumb plastic ones don't want to fit in there. ??

I think this is worthy of dissemination. Sorry if it is old news.

Here on macheforum.com several members (@rbertonieresr, @Schmedlack, @FordMachEGo, @txaggies07), just pointed out a method to replace the Mach-E 12V battery without removing the frunk tub and pointed to a video on YouTube where it is used at the end, starting around the 5:30 minute mark.

TLDR: Instead of removing the entire frunk tub, you remove a bolt and "sway" the sway bar?
(Please Mach-Lee and other respected elders review and provide feedback).

@txaggies07 added
"go to 5:30 and watch it.
Steps
1) remove cover to get to battery
2) remove lug nut from strut bar thing and push forward
3) remove negative terminal
4) remove two bolts behind battery (base of battery, towards windshield). I think they are 8mm.
5) remove thing the bolts were holding
6) slide battery towards windshield
7) remove positive terminal
8) lift battery straight up
9) reverse everything with a new battery"

That was a good video.

As Mach-Lee mentioned earlier, it is possible to slide out the battery aft by removing one side of the strut bar but it won't just pop out as easy as it is shown in the video. As Lee said, it's a tight space and you have to lift straight up while keeping the battery cables out of the way with the hood right above that area. In my car, having the Steeda strut brace which is secured with three bolts on each side, the entire brace must be removed. It's easier and faster for me to remove the frunk tub (don't have to touch my strut bar) plus you have much more room to lift the battery out (forward).

I timed myself removing the frunk tub and it took about 2 1/2 minutes:

Plenty of room to take out the battery once the frunk tub is removed:

Your garage is amazing. Just curious, do you have the Tesla solar roof to charge your wall of Tesla batteries or are you using someone else's panels?

To me one thing is not clear. If I replace my original battery with the same Motorcraft battery, is there anything which I have to do with the touchscreen, FDRS, or any other means to finish the job? I am confused by some of the things I see online.

I hope not. I have replaced my battery and a friends (my previous Mach-E, both '21's) and a just dropped in the new battery and that was that. Haven't had any issues so far.

it is a good idea to 'reset' the 12v capacity and age counter, there is a procedure in this thread to do after remove/replace.

Man I just lost about half of my clips on the rear center piece. What a wonky design for a clipped in panel. Those things are absolutely gone into the ether.

The part number for those clips is W720957-S300. They come in a package of 4. I have a parts drawer full of them because I work on quite a few Mach-E's. I can send you some but not until the 21st because I'm leaving early in the morning for Europe. DM me your info if you want some.

Oh you absolutely don’t have to send me any, I do appreciate the offer though! I will likely stock up on a few of them just to have around. Thanks for the info!

Man that would have been nice to know before mine failed and I have to pay like 250 to replace it.

The tube removal had me going f that. On top of that I know the official docs have you disconnected the HVB from the system and high voltage has me more willing to run away.
