Our Ford NACS Adapters arrived today

Mine was delivered today…to the wrong address. The address was correct from Ford, but FedEx delivered it someplace else, even showed a picture of the box on somebody’s stoop. I filed a missing package report, but I have no real hope of ever seeing the adapter. Someone working for FedEx probably has it. ? long wait for nuthin’.

Dumb question I know, but will the adapter work with all Tesla chargers?

To add on to what Stanmckinney said, as he said only version 3 & 4 work. The Ford Pass app, under the energy setting, will let you look for nearby chargers and indicate which will and which won't work for us. BTW, in the town in which I live, the biggest Tesla charger lot has zero compatible chargers, which another lone nearby has 5 out of 8 which are compatible. The 3 that are not compatible each have a "Tesla Only" sign on them.

I am not sure if all the non-compatible chargers are the earlier version, or if Tesla is holding back a bunch of chargers to keep their own customers happy.

while I ended up buying an aftermarket adapter, I just want to point out that there may be a pool of interested used Mach-e owners who, who have or will learn that the original owner of the car already applied for the free one, and therefor the subsequent buyer is not eligible for a free adapter. Ask me how I know

We got both of our Tesla adapters today! (We have 2 MachE's.) We ordered back in February. Now I just have to find a Tesla charger that's reasonably close to test everything.

We are supposed to be getting Tesla chargers in Durango, but nothing so far.

I got mine today and here's what I don't understand. Do I need to install anything? When I go to Public Charging in FordPass it lists a Tesla station near me and says the "station is not compatible." I do have Plug & Charge but not a separate one for Tesla. Should there be a separate one? Why is the Tesla station, which has probably 50 chargers, not compatible?

That’s an adapter for AC charging only — not usable at the Tesla SuperChargers.

The adapter needs to have the CCS1 plug on the side that connects to the car. That adapter has the J-1772 plug (the type you’d use when charging at home.)

The abbreviated story:
Not all Tesla chargers can be accessed using the adapter for various reasons.
FordPass has a filter “fast Charging Adapter” which, if clicked will hide stations requiring an adapter. So, look at that And make sure it isn’t checked.
There’s been an OTA, a while ago, that enabled Tesla P&C. There’s no indication of it. It works or it doesn’t. Some didn’t get the OTA. You can still use Tesla stations with either the Tesla app or Ford’s Public Charging app in the car.
You can search for Tesla stations using the Tesla app. Look in the menu at the top and look for charging and vehicle details and say ‘Yes” you have a DC adapter.

For the most part, the Tesla sites not available to Ford or other OEMs are their older posts with up to 150kW. The stations they upgraded to includes other OEMs are their 250 & 350kW sites

The Tesla chargers at the Buc-ee's I have used twice, have the sign on top of each charging station that said something like "Tesla charging Only" (?) (can't remember exact wording)

Since they worked just fine on the Mach-E, I think the sign was meant as a Parking designation in an attempt to suggest to folks that don't know any better. I know it sounds crazy, but people will ICE a charger and be completely unaware.

The intent is apparently the same as what Tesla uses these for:

That’s an adapter for AC charging only — not usable at the Tesla SuperChargers.
