Bought our second Mustang in a year on December of 2021. I asked if the car a 2021 Mach-E Premium with extended battery had Blue Cruise and I was told it did. The sticker shows Blue cruise under Equipment group 300A.

No trial period is on the sticker or in the purchase paper work. I now find out that my free charges and Blue Cruise along with other items expire in December of 2024. In the same column as the Blue Cruise the tires, paint, and License plate holder are listed. Do those also go away?

This is not the first time I purchased a car with new technology. I bought a 2014 Fusion with self park, adaptive cruise, navigation, and other goodies. None of those went away.

So you have never logged into FordPass or Ford.com with your Mach-E VIN?

Which isn't me implying that you should have. It's certainly not required. But you can bet that more and more, especially looking forward, not doing so with these modern vehicles, the owner might be caught "unaware"

FordPass and Ford.com list all the "Connected Services" that your vehicle is currently associated with. And if they have deadlines, as a subscription, it will be listed as such.

what is more annoying is that you will have to pay $75/month or $800/yr to use B.C after free trial for three months.

My BC ends May 2025 so I'm using it daily while I can. I will miss it but I'll get by.

I agree that as the first adopters of the vehicle and no mention of any features going to a subscription service is unfair and not having the feature until about 2 years after purchase isn’t great either. That the only complaint I have about this vehicle.

I think you may be the first one to complain about this. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

What angers me more is that when I bought the car I knew BC expired but it was to be $600 for a three year subscription. THAT is the "contract" I signed, NOT $800 per year. Can I change the parameters of the contract also? I would like to only pay 10k for the Mach-E now. How do I get my renegotiated cash back??

The $800 price per year won’t stick. Adoption will be abysmal.

To the OP, there have been a lot of threads on this. Your purchase fell within a timeframe when the window stickers weren’t super clear on this issue.

From the outset, Ford billed BC as a subscription service, if you knew where to look. Like press releases and websites and stuff. But, again, Ford could have been a lot clearer on this point.

I sincerely hope this is true. When pricing a new 2024, you either get a 90-day trial of BC or pay $2100 for a 3 year subscription (at least via the Ford web-site). I'd be curious how many people are opting for the 3-year BC subscription on new purchases (and the corollary - how many people get that added to the car and thus jacking the MSRP up without realizing that they aren't required to buy it).

Mine goes away in July 2025. I am in the same boat. I would pay $600/3yrs like I paid when I purchased the car....not $800/year
I have one more year than you - July 2026 - and feel the same. I would pay $600 for 3 years, but will NEVER pay $800/year.
