I am out of warranty. I had read somewhere that the U3000-49 error once it triggers may be stuck there until the IPMA is reset. I am pretty sure my issue is in the cables and I was also thinking of doing that work myself as well.
Calibration for sure can be done with FORScan, but not sure about resetting learned values. I don't remember if that option was there or not last time I looked around there.

I can't comment on ease, but that TSB should definitely be done at the dealer, unless you're out of warranty, as it is hit or miss if it is software or the coax. Most seem to have the coax problem and the software fix is only a short band-aid.
Yep, I took mine in knowing it was the cable but the dealer applied the SW. I got a camera failure less than 1 minute onto the freeway. I had to take it back in for the cable replacement (2 cables). ??

That's why I was wanting to try and do it myself. My guess it that the bad cable is the one that goes to the camera. That cable is like $30 and doesn't look that hard to replace.

I dont want to distract on this topic too much. I can bug people about the cable specifically in that thread. I want to mainly understand my original question on if it is possible to do that operation in FDRS.

Good News!!!

I rerouted the cable to the correct orientation many months ago no help.

I just ran the IPMA - Reset the Image Processing Module A (IPMA) Learned Values application in the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). Then ran the IPMA - Image Processing Module A (IPMA) Alignment application immediately after and bluecruise is finally back.


I now have a new DTC

IPMA - B1578 : 78 : 2F
I got BECM and SOBDM to take after several fails. BCM update completed and ignored the TPMS update.
Reran my DTCs still only IPMA -B1578 : 78 : 2F
Finally took care of PSCM

now I have no more updates and just that one IPMA DTC Listed above. Tried doing the associated TSB 23-2021 but that disabled blue cruise so I re did the IPMA module A config and got blue cruise back.
Not sure what to do with the remaining g DTC or if it’s even worth trying to get rid of…

Hi all,

Just update the APIM of my car with FDRS. Then just after that, FordPass was not working anymore (my account locked, my wife account too).
Ford has suspended my account due to the suspicious activity, seriouskly Ford ? :punch:
Have you already experience this kind of inconvenient ?

I assume you were using the same credentials for both FDRS and FordPass?
I don't think FDRS is the cause itself.

I wonder if you triggered the account lock with multiple failed login attempts? Or possibly using a VPN with FDRS?

I can't make it a week with either the Powerboost or the GTPE having updates drop, after completing catching up a few days ago.

I have a hard time ignoring PCM updates.

That'd definitely be a surprise.

I should clarify why my favorite module updates are PCM. It's nothing to do with the Mach-E. I don't have 3 years of updating experience with it.

But from the early release (2021 model year) of the Gen14 F150 until today? The PCM updates, collectively, have transformed the drivability of the Powerboost. The original code for the Hybrid was a bit clumsy and indecisive at times. Transition from EV to ICE and vice versa. Ford also moved the 10r80 transmission management code into the PCM, so as they refined the shift strategy, that too was packaged in the PCM updates.

Honestly, the last couple of PCM updates haven't made any obvious jumps in refinement that I could identify. But that's mostly because the mess isn't as messy now. :)

FDRS showed PCM and ABS updates for my 2021 Job2 today. Updates took about 10 minutes, much shorter than the time it took to set up my FDRS rig. No drama, and the best part is that it finally removed the GVMS warning I've had for the ABS module.

So you have a 2021 MME and have updated to the latest sync version (with YouTube) and you are locked out? How did you do that ?
