Sheepishly raises paw. ??

I have owned as many as 6 Pontiacs concurrently. I only had a peak of 3 Toyotas (2 registered). ??
???

I currently own 4 Fords.
But admittedly only 2 have Bluecruise. (1 subscribed)

But I will never argue that I represent the norm. When I look around, the world is upside down and CrAzY. That's apparently the norm. ?

I’m definitely not of the norm. I’m about as much of an outlier as you can get. I just love teasing two-leggers! ??

Very fair point.
I was merely trying to dissuade the people who own multiple BlueCruise vehicles in the forum from telling me that their collective cases prove me wrong. I assert that the people on this forum are not a representative sample of vehicle owners.
I do think it would be nice if ford ultimately got around to “family plans”, but I’d submit that other companies have been around for a lot longer without them (for example, SiriusXM requires a separate account for each vehicle, as my friend with multiple SiriusXM vehicles is always whining to me ?).
Oh yeah, I don't know the buy rate on BC, but I imagine it's quite small, especially once we get into these newer model years where 3 years isn't "included". And to your point the crossover of dual Ford households and dual BC capable households has to be tiny.

The family plan thing is just on my wishlist, it isn't make or break for my relationship with Ford. I just think I would be more willing to consider their services if it wasn't such a pain to manage. I don't have a lot of subscriptions, but what got me to get more into Apple services was their "Apple One Family" plan. We have mostly Apple devices and it has become a very useful plan to have and I admit it has made us more entrenched in the Apple ecosystem because the services work well and if we get a new iPad or AppleTV or whatever, it just seamlessly works with those services, I don't then have to worry about subscribing to specific things for that device.

I hope Ford considers it, and decides they want to be better than SiriusXM. ?

I think this is still mostly only worth it to people with long commutes, although if I was on a road trip I would pay for it for a month

Yep. I still think self-steering in personal cars is mostly a party trick rather than something truly useful. I've found it *more* stressful to use than simply steering myself.

But even party tricks are worth something. ?
I live in a region where we're not ever likely to have a BC-mapped road, so it's academic for me, but I have to say that after getting to use 1.3 for a week in Vancouver I'd happily pay if I used it every day. Getting chauffeured through congested traffic is absolutely less stressful.

Its still twice the price of GM's Supercruise and doesn't come close to feature parity with it.

$25/month - $200/year and give me 1.3 or I'm not resubscribing.

You mean for the Canada that only has about 1,000 kms of highway you can use it on? I don’t expect Ford to do anything for us Northerners!
FWIW I used BC in Vancouver for a week and found many more roads on hands-free than showing on the official maps.

$495 is still $200 more than I'd be willing to pay considering how infrequently I use it. Oh well.

Let us not forget, BC was originally $600 for three years. At $495/yr, the price has gone up by $885.00 over the same period an increase of 147.5%.

Ford definitely needs to improve the feature's functionality and add at least as much roadway at GM's Supercruise does for that price. Though I'd be lying if I said at $495/yr, I'm not at least considering renewing. I guess a lot will depend on how I'm feeling (financially) in May 2025 ?

Totally not a party trick. It makes driving on highways, etc. so much more relaxing and comfortable. Totally worth the $200 that Ford quoted me when I bought the car per year!!

Still a NO.

They need to implement the Sirius/XM pricing model.

Every year, they try to raise my price to $24/mo. I try to cancel and they lower it to $6/mo.

I’ve been doing this rodeo with them yearly for 15 year now.

But they still have a subscriber!
