BTW, you gain a heat pump but you lose ~ half the frunk space:

One of my photos from an event last week in NY state. More on that coming.
Somewhat surprising that they didn't delete the emergency release button after making the frunk too small for a child.

Did "L" gear move, or go away? Or (hopefully) get replaced by an actual independent regen level setting definable in a user profile?

I use L gear 100% of the time for a higher level of regen (2PD mode).

Looks nice but…..

Is the screen not centered over the center console?

Really?

REALLY?
The console has never been centered under the main display.

Great to see Ford continuing to improve the MME. I wouldn't worry so much about the NACS port; few non-Supercharger DCFCs employ it yet and we pay a healthy premium to use Tesla's system so this may wait until there's a platform refresh. And to me, it wouldn't make sense to employ Android Automotive on a platform that's scheduled to be replaced in a couple of years.

So they redesigned the IPC, but did not actually increase the amount of information displayed? (Hello, radio/media info!)

Also, what is with the obsession with idiotic steering column-mounted gear shifters? The 1970s called, they want their stupid design back.

Also, losing a ton of frunk space is no bueno. I know people never use the frunk, blah blah blah, but as someone who actually makes full use of it, that's dumb. Isn't a heat pump mostly just an A/C unit with a reversing valve?

Might have thought they'd have done away with the Start button too, but that's probably a major refresh thing.

I'd still like the car to just start when opening the driver door, to give the slow Sync4 more time to fully load.

This makes me feel better about my plan to 'jump ship' in January, when I'll return my Mach-E (end of Ford Options) and switch to a tiny-frunked Ionic 5 with native NACS port & 800v architecture.
