There are a couple of Forscan edits to make AFTER you do the FDRS work.I have access to fdrs but I think it is more than just doing the updates. I think you have to adjust some of the settings within the updates.
Very simple, and easy enough to get by just asking
In FDRS, it's far less confusing. Each update is simply labeled as belonging to a specific module. As I said, there’s a lot more than “it’s technical”/“it’s easy”. Have you ever tried to teach an old person how to set the time on their VCR? (Very old joke.)
So you’re saying that the OTA for MY21s that would provide BlueCruisr 1.3 may be named something other than IPMA-24.204.8.27? Well, we had PowerUp 7.0.X, then PowerUp 10.0.X, then IPMA-XX.XXX.X.XX so I guess they could come up with yet something else?
You want the IPMA update, you click IPMA and then click download/run. Then follow the prompts on the screen. It's not neurosurgery and the FDRS thread is a rich history of many hundreds of updates by folks that have gone before you.
It would be rather odd for any VIN in the USA to NOT have the necessary updates available. But if anyone wonders, they simply ask here on the forum and a couple of amazingly generous gentlemen on this forum will look and verify before you spend a nickel.I believe the software has to be made available for your specific VIN. If PowerUp 7.X/PowerUp 10.X/IPMA-X/whatever crazy name Ford chooses this week, isn’t available for your VIN, all the FDRSing in the world won’t get BlueCruise 1.X | X >=3 on your car.
