My car has been in production since 1/7, I’m optimistic it’s built and ships next week.
I’ve been able to track my car both on the Ford site and the link from this forum. Is there any way to see if it’s in the body shop?

You really don't want that front bracket, do you? I don't either. Fingers crossed that the dealership is the one that installs it and I get to them before they do. ?

You noticed I'm obsessing about that huh? :D

My previous experience with my only other car order, also a Ford, was that it was done by the dealer. The other cars I've had came with the front plate installed, just figured part of "special" order was to get it without that klutzy, mandated piece of plastic. ;) Especially since this is the most expensive car I've ever had.
This was in an email from my dealer contact: "As for the front license plate bracket, we do not install brackets unless the customer requests that we do so. I checked the order guide and it does show that the bracket would be an optional item and I do not recall ordering that for your car." Your dealer may be different. Maybe the ones seen in those car carrier pics were for customers that requested the bracket.

I was hoping for this to be the case, but Kim, does SC require the front plate? I know Texas and Calif do, the only reason I could see why the factory would do it would be for the states that require them, and I've seen a lot of dealers bungle the installs, even with the alignment dimples. My dealer told me they would not install as I've requested, so their expectation was that it wouldn't be put on until they did their delivery prep.

Hopefully I am worried about nothing, one photo isn't proof after all, but it does take my mind off all these people jumping the line and getting their cars delivered ahead of me :p

I didn't respond to the survey because I didn't receive the email. However, this morning my delivery was pushed back 5 days. My First Edition was built 12/22.
Lucky you. 4 days = two months for me. Mine was built on 12/18 and my delivery went from 2/3 -> 4/2. Beyond disappointed.

Yes, I can imagine that is a let down. I have a feeling that Ford is being conservative and you won't actually have to wait that long.

The reason for the delay is nothing major. They are adding more time just in case they need to for ETA. But it is nothing major. More like a systems check. Relax it is more of, we need to check for a few days and see what it shows after that. No part problem, nothing missing.
Here's hoping...
