What's the pre-requisite for BC 1.3?
After a year of no updates, I've been receiving them in a nice sequence. I'm now at 6.4.0 and wondering what did you need to have to receive BC1.3. Only after 6.14.0?
BlueCruise 1.3 comes with update 7.0. The 6.x series lays the groundwork for the update.

Hi @Ford Motor Company,
It’s been three months since you posted this update with no further movement on 2021 cars.

Can you share any additional information about what’s going on or what to expect going forward?
They won’t answer because they can’t. They don’t know what’s up with the final push for 2021s to 1.3.

21s have a somewhat different hardware configuration than later model years and there were issues with some of the later model year updates as well that needed to be addressed pretty quickly. That probably accounts for much of the delay but is hardly definitive.

Obviously, at some point 21s would be moved to a final stable platform and updated only as necessary but I seriously doubt we’re there yet.

We have started to roll out the final update to enable BlueCruise 1.3 on 2023 model year Mustang Mach-E! Please keep in mind, as this rollout happens not all vehicles will receive the update at the same time. For example, your neighbor with the same model year vehicle could get the update at a different time than you do. We will have more to share once we start the roll out to 2021 model year Mustang Mach-E.

Congrats on the cute dog and the BC update, Pat.
I usually post a picture of my Mach, but my Dug was looking especially cute at that moment so I took the picture.

If you look closely you will see Willie to the right and Hunters back to the left.

there I was, stuck in the middle again ???

Thank you!

2021's apparently have not been orphaned, abandoned, shelved, ignored, or conspired against.

Well they have, it is just that it hasn't been "officially announced" so they can keep pretending they haven't.

Hi Mustang Mach-E Owners –

We know if you are a 2021-2023 Mustang Mach-E owner, who has a vehicle equipped with BlueCruise, you are eagerly awaiting the delivery of BlueCruise 1.3 to your vehicle. Our goal is to deliver customers quality products and services, and BlueCruise for hands-free highway driving is no exception.

Previously, we shared we were starting to roll out the software package to enable BlueCruise 1.3. This software update is complex. As we shared previously, it is a large package that requires several sequential updates to multiple system modules within the vehicle, and as a result takes multiple updates to successfully deliver the package. We made the decision to pause the rollout to meet the level of quality we strive for so that customers have the best experience possible with the newest version of BlueCruise.

Now, we are pleased to share that the final update to enable BlueCruise 1.3 is starting to roll out to customers starting with model year 2022 Mustang Mach-E. This will be a staggered rollout by model year. We will have more to share once deployment starts for additional model years.

Please be on the lookout for the software update labeled as: IPMA-24.204.8.27.

BlueCruise 1.3 is our latest version of software available to customers and helps you stay engaged in hands-free mode longer, including around curves and narrow lanes. It also builds on BlueCruise 1.2 which includes Lane Change Assist allowing you to change lanes by tapping the turn signal and once the path is clear and In-Lane Repositioning which helps keep the vehicle in its lane while subtly shifting position away from vehicles in adjacent lanes.

We want to thank you again for your patience. We can’t wait for you to experience these features and improved hands-free highway driving performance on your vehicle!
Hello @Ford Motor Company! I’m following up on this post from 5 months ago, which is a follow up to your initial promise from 17 months ago. I renewed my subscription to BC for an additional three years back in December 2023 based on your promise. But my 2021, enrolled in EAP, is still stuck on BC1.0. Isn’t it past time that you initiated a CSP for dealers to update 2021 software?

To be fair, at least a month ago they did give a (non) update.

Nothing for MY21?

I don't think I will get it before my 3 year subscription expires, and I don't think I will get an extension for the first 6 months when it didn't work on my car. If I used it a lot I would be pretty upset ?
I would check when you get close. Ford has been doing a 1 year extension for many 2021 owners. In my case a few days before expiration the no cost one year extension was able online with a side note that it was not obvious in fordpass.

Yeah, I got that. Will these 12 months be enough to see 1.3 or any improved version of BC?
