Bluecruise 1.3 for 2021 Mach-E has arrived

Well, they just sent out an EAP email announcing the 1.3 rollout by model year. so I guess it's official. And it sounds like a global rollout, not just EAP (that was the earlier access dicsussed above).

Not 1.4 but certainly better than 1.0 which I'm afraid to even use!

As a data point, I'm EAP MY21 Job 1 and don't have it yet.

Why are you afraid to use 1.0? I use it all the time and it works well. Compared to my wife's Mod 3, 1.0 is much better.

How do you know if your Job 1 or Job 2 (2021). I ordered towards the end of 2020 and the car made it to the dealer July 2021. I've always assumed I'm a Job 1 car.

Check for traction control button near light switch. If you have one -> job 2. Job 1 has divider in frunk?

I got this on Monday, but I am in EA. I wasn't going to say anything until it was confirmed non-EA cars are getting it, since I try to honor the EA agreement. So, thanks David for confirming!

My MME does not have BC. But when I tested it on Wednesday, lane centering is definitely improved. It does not turn off when passing an entrance ramp on the interstate like it used to. Maybe there is less lane ping pong going on, but that is harder to observe when I didn't think lane ping pong was a problem before.

My MME is a 2021 Job 2 (GT).

I'm definetely Job 1. I have the dividers nicely tucked away in the basement.

Why are you afraid to use 1.0? I use it all the time and it works well. Compared to my wife's Mod 3, 1.0 is much better.

I've given it a fair shot a number of times but it's like a drunk robot took over. The swerving and right side bias are just too much for my comfort level, and there are apparently too many interstate curves in my area for 1.0's taste. It's constantly surrendering control.

I'm sure 1.3 will be loads better and I look forward to it. Excellent timing as well because I'm on the highway more often these day. So, much appreciated!

The email didn’t specifically promise anything new - as you say, it still kept the rollout by model year language - but I just received the update. EAP 2021 Job 1. So yeah, Ford is definitely pushing the OTA to the 21s. At least EAP, but I’m hearing non-EPA, too.

Just installed in my 2021 Job2 in EAP. Worked great, inhibit was 1hr 10min

Man, it's been awhile! Used to ride bikes on the Pinellas Trail from a friend's house in Dunedin to Frenchy's on weekends. Good stuff!

I don't think subscription status or warranty status adds or deletes a VIN being eligible for OTA updates.

Vehicles that aren't even equipped with Bluecruise, still receive the updated software stack for the appropriate modules.

Yes you will. Even if BC was expired you would still get the update.
