Ford Branded Lectron Adapters Now Shipping!

The photos look a lot like the Lectron Vortex with the Ford script logo on the side instead of Lectron’s logo. The scuttlebutt was that the new adapter was engineered by Ford and Lectron built them. It leads one to wonder if there are substantive changes to this adapter or if they’re simply re-branded Vorticies. ??

I would be happy if all Lectron did with Ford was fix the stuck cord issue. Anything else would be cherry on top.

There’s a small change in the design/build:

In the state of charge video where Tom gives an overview of the Lectron adapter produced for Ford, he goes over the two changes, but one Ford specifically asked for.

Ford asked Lectron to include a small pin in the bottom middle portion of the end that goes into the charge port. The Tesla made adapter has that pin. Charging will not begin if the pin isn’t depressed.

The other difference is the latch on the top of Ford Lectron adapter is metal.

There’s a small change in the design/build:

typical bullshit Youtube "review" that takes nearly 15 minutes to go over 2 bulletin points that could be covered in less than 2 minutes..I get that the reason is monetization, but I have given up reading most of the "reviews" because they are so bloated with fluff..

Dammit Ford! I didn‘t want my replacement to be another Tesla made adapter. I just got it this week. Couldn’t you have waited another week to ship my replacement? ??

Correct! Even if they send you one of each, you need to complain that you only needed one (but don't say which one) and that Ford screwed someone over by sending you two of them! Get in the holiday spirit, here!

That’s a different issue. If you want to start a poll on it, feel free. I think ford will finish delivering those replacements very soon.
