@Raymondjram you have maintained a consistent stance of telling people how they should live. That includes your belief that what you do is the only correct way to do so. It is extremely off-putting and narrow minded. This last post is just astonishing in its provincialism.

You think you are arriving a lot slower, but the blame is you are driving too far and too much. Drive less and move closer to your main destination. I did this in 1977 and drove less than 16 miles a day for 37 years, so calculate how much gas and money I saved. Even now I drive lesser and spend lesser, about 300 miles a month. When I get my Mach-E it will last about a month with just one overnight charge.

LOL. Yeah, obviously I was talking about road trips. Your solution is "Don't do road trips in a BEV!". Sure, that's a solution too that many have suggested, and some will practice. There are some road trips we'll have to drive ICE instead.

I believe when somebody said something about cold weather charging, his suggestion was to "just move somewhere warmer." And when somebody posted about using Google Translate, his suggestion was to "just learn Spanish". So I've learned how to take his suggestions :)

Wait, if you only drive your vehicle 275 miles per month, why do you even own a car? You should use UBER or LYFT - it would be far less $$ for you! Or, maybe it is just a driveway ornament for you?

Uber. No Lyft in Puerto Rico (unless that has just changed).

Thank you, oh wise collector of arcane facts! Loved the movie you worked on, by the way, @ChasingCoral! Telling everyone in my circle of family/friends to watch it. It is now a core part of my soapbox patter when people ask me why I want to drive an EV.

It is called, "Chasing Coral" available on youtube and Netflix. I thought I had certainty for the last 40 years regarding energy/emissions, but WOW, this movie carries a message that hit even me in the gut. Great photography, too!

Near as I can figure, the charging profile can be described thusly from 10%:

≤ 10%: 150kW for 3-5 mins
15% - 60%: 100kW
60% -70%: 90kW
70% - 80%: 80kW decreasing to 70kW
80% - 100%: 12-14kW

This is based on Charged EVs article, Kyle Connor's interview with @Mach-E VLOG, Tom Moloughney's Plug & Charge demo, and OP's article.

I think we can figure on getting nearly 50kWh in 30 minutes (~100kW average).
