Bluecruise 1.3 for 2021 Mach-E has arrived

Always in the garage plugged in and locked. Connected to my wifi. It’s driven nearly daily. I have a Noco genius on board and top up the 12v once a month as well.

Mine is always in the garage and I’m keeping it plugged in due to the cold. May or may not be locked, depending on whether or not I need something from it. Last week I took a nice long ride to Costco (>100 mi round trip). No WiFi. Still waiting for the update.

Was used to getting the updates fairly soon after EA. This time I’ve settled back to non expectant mode.

So I have a 2021 GT and finally got the BC 1.3 update today. however, it is not working. The 2 new switches (lane change assist and Lane reposition) will not turn on. The lane reposition will turn on for 3 seconds then turn off again. The Lane change assist will not turn on at all. If I slide the switch over it stays in the on position but does not turn blue and it does not function while driving.

Yes, I got the 1 additional year free a few months ago.

BC is working, just not the new features.

give it time, I think the IPMA is still doing a bunch of work even after it shows installed. Sadly we can't see the processor load on the modules to tell if something is still going on. If it's not able to toggle in the next day or two yank the negative 12v for 5 min to force reset all the things.

just a thought do the Job 1 cars that did not get the update it yet Plug your car in at night and lock the doors? I do that nightly and got 1.3. I am not an EAP member. I don't know if that helps or not to do those things I know it's a big update so possibly. I never thought I would get it too last update before BC 1.3 was in June.

The car doesn't "check" for updates when it is off.

Shortly after you start the car ... it will "check in" to see if there are updates.

But I already received my tow hook covers for Lightning that way. So that may not be an issue.

MME's made before and after mine have gotten BC 1.3. My MME gets driven a couple time per week and it is always on a charger and WiFi when parked.

The only reason I can see it not getting updated by now is Ford willfully skipping my MME. Punishing a paying customer because I am not praising them for pushing early adopters to the back of the line.

Maybe some movement for me ('21 job 2, non-EA). Got ECG-24.2.5.6.3 yesterday - first update since 6.14 last June.

It came through for me today - 2021 Job 1 not in EA. The sync system freaked out and rebooted a bunch while driving but it eventually said successful.

Non EAP Job 1 2021, with an LVB that's been recently trickle-charged as per Mach-Lee's guidance, and driven > 30 minutes many times a week.

No updates here either.

I suspect we're all at the mercy of Ford's update server that seems to individually bless VINs for OTAs.
