Just a quick note that I encountered this too, but it was resolved (P6Pro) simply by removing/re-adding the FordPass key. I did not install the February patch yet.
If that was enough to fix it, then you just didn't have the same issue...
People was always able to get a temp fix by resetting the key but it would break again after restarting your phone.

And that "Fix" would only last until the phone restarts or BT drops or Airplane mode is activated.

Nice to know it has been fixed. However, once I dug out and dusted off the fob after four years, I have no intention of going back.

It was a cool idea, they almost made it a good feature but with the past month of carrying the fob I noticed a few things:

1. FOBs are relatively small and easy to carry
2. Unlocking and walk away locking is so much quicker and reliable
3. No more looking like an idiot trying to get the kick to open liftgate to open when my arms are full

Maybe someday Ford will figure out how to make a good Paak, but I don't think it will happen as long as they try to keep it linked to their otherwise nearly worthless app.

They'll have to pry my phone key from my cold, dead hands.
Agreed. Next up is digital driver's license and passport so I can ditch carrying around the wallet.

The one annoying thing I can't seem to fix is getting the car to recognize my profile settings when the phone is linked to my account. Paak keeps defaulting to weird settings, mirrors stay folded when I open the car, and my seat keeps needing to be adjusted back to the 1st profile setting.
The step to link the phone to the profile is something I forget to do sometimes. It would be nice after it adds the phone as a key if it would ask you if you'd like to assign that phone to a profile. It asks you to create a backup passcode and a keypad code already, so that would be in the same vein.

I too got the Feb 2025 update on my P9P and confirmed that PaaK works now after a reboot. I want to attribute the fix to the Android update but I also noticed that my FordPass updated to 5.12.0. So I cannot tell if just one or both fixed the issue.
I haven't got the FP 5.12.0 yet but the Google update still fixed my Paak ??

Update: It broke again after I restarted. Applied Feb patch and re-issued the key again

You need the patch first, then re-issue key, then give it a reboot. It will stick AFTER feb patch.

Plus 1 on the FOB. For me I've had the same goodness from going back to the FOB plus reliable cell calls/Teams calls on Bluetooth.

For me PAAK seemed to interfere with calls. Likely related to the SSM below which my dealer documented against my 2021 after I complained about Bluetooth connection drops during calls. (I do wire to the USB C port at all times but voice calls insist on Bluetooth with Android Auto)

PAAK is working for again me again. Not only did I download the feb patch. I cleared the storage in the Ford app. Then paired.

UPDATE - This bug is fixed in Google's February 2025 security update released on Feb 6, 2025. Use the system menu to update your phone and reboot, then delete/re-add your key.

----------------

Hi all, there seem to be increased instability with retaining the PaaK key on PIXEL over the past week or two. Sort of similar to the Samsung thread that was recently resolved by Samsung.,

I have a 2023.5 with all of the OTAs current. I had a very consistent experience for the latter half of 2024 where PaaK worked 99% of the time. When it didn't, I would simply toggle Bluetooth and open FordPass.

January rolled around and I took the January Pixel update right around its release date (Jan 5 or so). PaaK stopped working and I reset it. Within a week it stopped working again, and I reset it. It looks like 5.10.1 updated yesterday, which may have caused it to reset again.

The way I've always known it won't work is when I can't see the Bluetooth name ###### (5 seemingly random digits) followed by MACHE, in my Bluetooth list. Once that is gone, PaaK is hosed even though the app reports an Active key with all 4 checkboxes relative to the configs it wants.

I am wondering - how many others are now going through the same instability on PIXEL in recent weeks? I am adding a poll here to see what gens are impacted.
Hi,
I had the same problems but then I updated and reconnected and all seams fine, my Paak is working fine BUT now I have found that I have a new problem ? Sometimes, not every time but almost, when I receive a phone call in the car, I can accept the call but the Radio keeps playing so I can't hear the caller but they can hear me.
Sometimes it helps if I hang up and call back but other times it's just the same ???
Any of You experience the same ?
