Yeah, the staggering lack of information is not something that I was prepared for in this process. Almost all the information we do have is from a "hack." If I buy a paper towel rack online I know exactly where it is throughout the process. Spend 60k on a car and apparently it's the industry standard that you are left completely in the dark for 6-8 months. I expected so much more from a company like Ford, but don't worry, I've learned a lot during this process. The worst part is that the one-and-only email I've gotten from them said `but you can count on us to keep you informed about any potential changes.`
Not excusing it but pretty par for the course for us OG mach-e owners.Yeah, the staggering lack of information is not something that I was prepared for in this process. I ordered a Bolt EUV and the tracking was similar, not sure about other car companies. The Bolt did get here more quickly as it is built in MI. They don't have to build the paper towel rack before shipping it at least.Yeah, the staggering lack of information is not something that I was prepared for in this process. That’s fair. I think I just needed to vent ?I ordered a Bolt EUV and the tracking was similar, not sure about other car companies. The Bolt did get here more quickly as it is built in MI. They don't have to build the paper towel rack before shipping it at least.
I've been custom ordering vehicles for myself and for business for years. They're all this bad. Keeping the customer in the loop in terms of production and shipment just isn't a thing. And it's really only nerds like us on these forums who care.I ordered a Bolt EUV and the tracking was similar, not sure about other car companies. If it makes y'all feel any better, the process with Tesla is not much better. You just get an estimated delivery window in your app that fluctuates up and down constantly until one day a VIN pops up. At which point you have 1-2 weeks for delivery.Yeah, the staggering lack of information is not something that I was prepared for in this process. What Dealer?! I'M ON MY WAY!So I can now confirm that some 2025 Mach-E's have been delivered to dealerships. Not sure what the hold up was, but it seems they are flowing as of yesterday or the day before. My local dealership, who is my backup plan if the one we ordered gets saddled with a tariff, got their first '25s in today. They said it looks like the stop or hold (or whatever it was) has been lifted.
Hopefully we can start seeing pics of delivered cars now!
Now I'm jealous, your car was built two weeks after mine and no updates here.My order is now “in transit”and “reached junction point”status!
No, no, there's no hold. Nothing could be further from the truth. Whatever gave you that idea? That's just crazy talk! The dealership here knows nothing about a hold either. Other than they're being told a bunch of cars that shipped over the past few weeks, some of which are less than 25 miles away, can't be delivered at this time.
