Funny, but that's not really far from how it use to be. I worked at a Chevrolet Dealership from 1978 to 2000. We would start getting the new year models in stock at the end of August the year prior.

Yeah I bought my 2013 Fiesta off the lot in November of 2012, so when I ordered the 25 Mach E in November I thought it would be shipping out pretty quickly. (I was so naive as to think that they were already a little behind because they didn't have the 25s on the lot yet)

Well, despite what my fortune cookie said, no luck yet. My Mach E is still at the junction point and has been since March 14, apparently.

My MME is about 50 miles south of Fort Worth currently, near Blum TX. No updates from order tracking since tuesday. It looks like about 580 miles from KC, out of about 2600 miles from Cuautitlan to KC

My dealer says my car is on the move. It is currently passing through Milano TX, headed to KC by way of Dallas. He thinks it will be held in KC for a bit, he is not aware that OKTB has happened yet.

This is where the cars get off the first train for cars moving to the BNSF railroad - Richards Gebaur:

here is the Argentine yard where cars going west on BNSF. The cars are trucked between the two yards. Possibly the cars will be taken somewhere between for further work.

Per my dealer, mine went back to Mexico for a couple of days and then started on its way back to the states. Why? Nobody knows. Maybe an accident or maybe a software update.

Well, maybe. My guy at Galpin just emailed me the same thing. Seems pretty unlikely. Even in normal times Ford is not likely to ship a car from Texas back to the plant in Mexico. With the Tariffs about to kick in, honestly, I'd sue Ford if they did. I'm sure you'll join me in a class action.

More likely, the dealer is seeing action to remedy the initial hold like the installation of a body control module that was on hold and the corresponding code "sent to body shop" and interpreting that as what that code means when the car is being produced, not updated. Or something like that...

But I'm your classic 'glass is half full' slash 'Ford can't be that stupid' kind of guy.

Let's see what really happens.
