I’m about to order a 2025 GT and am on the fence about the panoramic roof. Just wondering if anyone who has the glass roof would recommend otherwise. Also curious if any uses a sunshade on the roof.

I have a panoramic roof in my current car but always leave the built-in shade closed in the warmer months. Wondering if I should skip it this time.

I skipped it. Although I can’t miss what I didn’t have, I also don’t feel claustrophobic.

I skipped it because I’m a tall guy with a long torso. I rented a Tesla for a week and my head was super close to the glass. It was warm. I know what manufacturers say about the coating, but it kind of freaked me out. I was really happy that ford allowed the sunroof delete in the 2024 models. Most people love the glass, but I like an opaque roof.

Save yourself the agony of the decision and get a Rally instead (they come loaded with everything except the pano-roof).

6’1 and living in Hawaii with a glass roof. No issues in the four years I’ve owned the car. It gets warm while sitting in the sun, but less warm than our Tacoma which has zero sunroof.

Not sure if I regret it, but won’t actively buy it next time. It leaks heat on the winter and makes tunnels noisier than needed.

I like my glass roof. It seemed to actually give me more head room. I'm 6'0. It has a good coating and doesn't make things really warm. I do have the sun shade for the summer though just in case.

Never looked back or suffered any detriment with a pano roof, never use any kind of shade, it’s just great?

Only regret is carrying my son around in the back, he’s 34 and should know better but if pano is dirty draws rude pictures on it so when grandchildren are in the back results in sniggering and awkward questions when they see it???

I’m 6’1” and live in Los Angeles and love the roof. I don’t get to enjoy it nearly as much as my passengers, but I love when I do get to look up and it feels much roomier. It does feel warmer if I stick my hand up there, but nothing I notice with my head, and other cars have their own hotspots.

We are a 2 MME family.
Mine is 2022 CA RT 1 with glass roof
Hers is a 2024 Premium without

I was planning to upgrade mine at end of Ford Options and I almost got a 24 Premium, but… I wanted the glass roof…. And it wasn’t available within 500 miles of me.

My kids love looking out. I love how much light it brings. My car is the RWD family touring car.

I currently live in Central Valley CA. Summer can easily get to 120. I put a simple shade up in July and August because parked at work for 8 hours it gets hot. With windshield and roof shade car is easily 10 degrees cooler. (Roof gets left in day to day those months)

We love ours, but did not want to spend the extra money for both of our cars.
