We are a 2 MME family.
Mine is 2022 CA RT 1 with glass roof
Hers is a 2024 Premium without

I was planning to upgrade mine at end of Ford Options and I almost got a 24 Premium, but… I wanted the glass roof…. And it wasn’t available within 500 miles of me.

My kids love looking out. I love how much light it brings. My car is the RWD family touring car.

I currently live in Central Valley CA. Summer can easily get to 120. I put a simple shade up in July and August because parked at work for 8 hours it gets hot. With windshield and roof shade car is easily 10 degrees cooler. (Roof gets left in day to day those months)

We love ours, but did not want to spend the extra money for both of our cars.
I’d go get the one I want - 500 miles is a normal day’s driving for me?

Oh I agree, I found one at 495miles, but the dealer was such a pain to work with, and I get annoyed too easily with uneducated sales people, that I’m just hanging on to my 22.

I still live my early job 21.

111,500 miles up.

Thought about changing at turn of the year but nearest equivalent Stang didn’t come with all the accoutrements mine has, those German based Explorers & Capris put the electric engine in the froot so I’d lose something I can’t afford to lose so opted to keep old Stangy.

It’s just incredible!

I love mine. Besides the fact that it is glass and therefore can crack, the only negative I’ve heard is that in cold places it can leak more heat than a metal roof, though there are hacks for that. I know of folks in Arizona with them and they don’t have sun shades, and others in less hot places who have bought sun shades. So it really comes down mostly to preference.

How about a "maybe opposite situation". When my wife and I were looking for our Mach-E we were both dead set against having one. How much? Passed up a Premium that had it for a Select that didn't. The "maybe a bit of regret" is that it might have been nice to have some of the other Premium features.

AND just tested SoH of HVB at 93.5% which is more than where it’s been for some months now.

These cars ?

I'm 6' as well and live in GA where it gets really hot in the summer and used to park my car outside for work before I retired, never had an issue with heat. Bought a shade for it but never installed it since it wasn't an issue

Panoramic roof is good. I don't have to worry about dirty roof lining. I also like the look of it. It is a bit hot in TX summer.

I actually didn't want it but didn't have a choice when I bought mine because I wanted blue cruise. Back when I bought mine those were tied together. After having it for three years it hasn't really been noticeably hot unless actually put your hand on. I was surprised at hot it is to the touch when it doesn't really seem to radiate the heat, not sure how that works but it appears to. I also don't seem to get any glare or get direct sun light coming through

I have the pano roof, and I find the interior gets no hotter, and probably less warm, than any other car I've had. I went with the white interior, which probably helps some, though.

I don't think I would pay extra for it though (The pano roof, that is. The white interior I probably would pay extra for.) As others have commented, it is more of a benefit for the rear passengers - I rarely even notice it from the front seat.

I have a glass roof, only owned the car for two months, but I never notice that it is there. I would skip if I could do again.

I’m about to order a 2025 GT and am on the fence about the panoramic roof. Just wondering if anyone who has the glass roof would recommend otherwise. Also curious if any uses a sunshade on the roof.

I have a panoramic roof in my current car but always leave the built-in shade closed in the warmer months. Wondering if I should skip it this time.
I’m 6’ 1” and live in Virginia (not thought of as a hot , sunny state). I bought my GT off the lot with the pano roof. I have a shade on mine. It just gets too hot without it.

Agree with this. Had glass roof on my Tesla and never noticed it either. Well, except for the big chip from a rock I got on it…that I couldn’t stop staring at….

I can’t say I noticed any difference with temperature either.

I think they’re more enjoyed by rear seat passengers.

Personally I wouldn't specifically seek that option, but the particular MME we leased had the glass roof, so whatever... Wifey likes it, and it's her car, so for that reason I now like it! ?

Bottom line OP, it's just personal preference vs cost vs what's available. Don't over-think it.... ?
