Oh boy... Now I'm thinking of 21s. I mean, the 275/40R20s are fine on the 20x9.5" rims, but that does look tough. Now I just need to put together the funds. LOL. ??
Steve, just go up one ratio like I did. Since my 275's are 21's, I went from 35's to 40's. You can go from 40's to 45's on your 20's and get the same 1" height I got. Yes your sidewall will increase by 1/2" (4 3/4" instead of 4 1/4") but if you want to keep that same 4 1/4" sidewall, yes you would have to go to 21". I know you don't care about the ride, but another nice thing is since my tires have a 107 load rating, I only need to keep them at 35 psi MAX. It does make for a nice ride. ? Continental makes your ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus in a 275/45/20!

Welcome to the forum Mark! There is a ton of info on this thread and many others that will give you the answer you are looking for. I'll just note a few things below.

About range, no matter what tire set you get, your range will go down a bit because of your wheels. They are less aero than the OEM's so you will take a small hit right there. That said, if you don't want your range to go down any further, I would certainly get a tire that is EV rated as they usually have less rolling resistance than non-EV tires.

About performance, unless your Premium has optional summer tires, the OEMs are grand touring all season tires. Any performance all season tire will be better than a grand touring tire. About tire size, OEM size is 245/45/20. Since you are getting 20x8.5 wheels, I would go up one size to 255/45/20. The largest size you can run on those wheels is one more size up 265/45/20 if you wanted to do that.

Bottom line, I would go with a 255/45/20 performance all season EV tire. There are a few 255/45/20 performance all season EV tires in that category. There are many more choices for non-EV tires if you decide that you're not as concerned about the range. This is a list I put together last year so it may be a little out of date but these are all the EV tires in the Mach-E 19" and 20" size that were available at that time. https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/tire-suggestions.28543/page-3#post-653387
Hey Mark, have you updated this list for 2025 by chance?

I hadn't but just did add new EV tires to the list since the last time I had updated it.

Thank you! Can I ask why Vredestein didn’t make your list? I keep reading positive reviews about the Quadtrac Pro+.

Vredestein's are awesome tires. My list is composed of EV specific tires only. Tires the manufacturer has designed specifically for EV's. Vredestein does make an EV specific tire, the QuadTrac Pro EV but right now it is only available in Europe and not in any 20" sizes and the only 19" size that would fit the Mach-E would be the 235/55/19 which is one size larger than the OEM 19's

Finally made the move to wider tires. Pirelli P Zero UHP All-season 245/50r19 mounted on Martian Wheels MW05 19x8" 50mm offset. These Martian wheels were specked for the Mach-E/Polestar, so fitment was plug 'n' play. I wanted to stay with the 19" diameter for comfort. The original '24 Premium wheels (size 19x7.5") will be used for winter tires.

What I was somewhat dissapointed about was the bulge of the side wall of the tire. I only went 245 because of the 8" rim. I wish those rims were available in 19x8.5"

Two points to make: first, the wider wheels do grip a lot more, especially when cornering.
Second, I like the personalized look of my Mach-E!

A side note: the Martians were fully black, but I refinished the face of the spokes for a brushed aluminum look. I do not like fully black wheels. The lug nuts I used were Gorilla Wheel Lock System M14 x 1.5. The OEM nuts do not work for aftermarket wheels.

New rims and tires for the ‘23 GTPE:

Square 20x9 ET40 w/ 265-45-20 DWS06+
Rims are Stance SF10 Brushed Dual Bronze.

Thanks, Markboris, for your time on this!
Support your local sponsor. Tom at Vibe is really great to deal with. Vibe did everything they said they would do when they said they would do it. I am super happy with their product and service.

Impressions: I just removed the summer OE Pirellis. They were shot. I wanted to smoothen the ride, and the taller sidewalls and all season Continentals do just that. It is still a truck like ride, but not as crisp/sharp on road imperfections.

Anyone on the fence on 265-45-20? It works very well.

The wheel/tire fitment look great. Really like that soft bronze color with the charcoal gray. ?

Mach E GTPE '25
Hey guys - picked up a 2025 GT with PE upgrade a couple weeks ago (right before the stop sale). Been looking at the atomic wheel forged rim options. Question for the experienced guys here -
1. Does the 19 inch aw11 fit the GT brembo calipers?
2. Has anyone gone down from the 20inch GT oem rims to a 19inch rim and does it make sense at all?
3. Stock tires are 245/45 r20. Looking at either a 245/50 r19 or a 255/50 r19 to fit them 19 inch rims. would I keep the stock offset (I believe it's 47.5 on the stock rims) to keep it flush and also not rub when turning? Or is there another offset (seems 40-45) to go for since the rims will be custom anyways.
4. Another option would be to keep the 20inch rims but go either stock tire size or 255/45/r20.
Looking for a slightly quieter ride but keep the cornering feeling good.

Thanks!

Hi All. I'll post this in the marketplace as I believe that is where it's supposed to go. I sold my car a few months ago and still have these wheels in case anyone is interested. I'll get updated pics because one has small curb rash, but the latest tires are good. I'm in southern NH.

Anyone running 225/60/18?
I figured I'd go down in size for my winter wheel/tire set.

And speaking of winter tires, what's everyone running?

I can’t speak for the size as run much larger tires but I use Michelin Alpin 5 performance winter/snow tires for my winter setup.

Well, looks like I'm not going to lower this car. Lowered my last Mach-E ('21 GT) 1" because the wheel well gap was a bit large. Yes I know it is an SUV but still didn't like it. This time, I decided to go with tires that are one inch taller which lessened the gap by 1/2" and I'm happy with the outcome.
Mark,
You've got an amazing looking Mach-E. For those of us that are way less knowledgeable about wheel and tire combos, can you explain what concessions you've made to run the setup you've settled on? You said you like to run with a non-factory camber setting. Since your tires are a larger overall diameter than stock, how "off" is your speedometer? If I wanted to mirror your setup (I don't but humor me), what are things I'd need to keep in mind or what extra expense should I expect to a run setup like yours?

I am starting research on a new wheel/tire combo but I'm waiting until I burn through the stock tires to upgrade.
