Hello everyone so I’m having an issue with receiving an OTA update, my car says the update was interrupted by another process. I’m under the impression that the 12v battery could be the culprit. I don’t have home charging currently so I’m using fast charging. My question is does the 12v battery charge if you fast charge the vehicle ? I would I need a slower charge ? Also I’m not sure if there is away to check the charge of the 12v battery without a multimeter? Any help is appreciated greatly.

Thank you
Lynn

There is no way to check the 12v battery status, no.

Driving the vehicle charges it. Yes, it charges while charging, but in 30 minutes that's almost nothing.

If driving it doesn't do it, put a battery charger on the jump posts.

Alternately, since you have a 21, if you are on your first battery, this could be a sign that your 12v is nearing end of life and due for replacement.

Just follow this: Thread 'How To Get Failed OTAs To Install'

Schedule the update to automatically install at 1 AM when you aren't using the car (and let it do it that way rather than manually), that will help in some cases as well.

You can either have your dealer scan for 12V battery health, or purchase and OBD-II scan tool (like Veepeak ODBCheck BLE) and download the Car Scanner phone app. Connect the app to the scanner via bluetooth. This gives you access to all kinds of data including the 12V battery.

Thanks everyone , i tried just about everything I could even calling the over the air team and everyone told me my 12v looked fine. I finally just took it to my local Ford and they updated everything for me. So I’m good for now.
