So the car that was supposedly "in stock" at my dealer had its ETA moved out to June...

Does anyone know if Ford has some sort of stock dealership photo that they Photoship the dealer's name onto for stock photo purposes? This makes no sense to me.

I think I may have figured out what's going on! Here's a re-enactment for clarity. Forgive my art skills and thanks for bearing with me while I struggle to keep myself entertained ?

My update is that my ETA has pushed into August (07/29/2025 - 08/04/2025), but I think it's not accurate. I heard from my dealer that the vehicle is moving, and has made it's way to New Mexico. I think they take the "transit days" and just add it to the current date whenever they update, and this has no regard for how long it has already been in transit.

At least the other one I changed my deposit to had an update to it, even if it was pushing back the ETA. Given what you've said, I guess that would indicate it's at least on the road somewhere. At least with this second one, I am seeing the tracking info updated, unlike the previous one which was unchanged since March.

Really wish there was a way I could see if it was even on a train car or something, though.

I was looking over my order and I don't see the Charger / NACS anywhere on the build lookup page. I have it specified on my order form with the dealer ( I made sure I got a copy).

Does the charger / NACS adaptor option show up for anyone else? If so what category?

If they somehow missed it I'd kinda like to order it to have it arrive with/before the car.

What’s the build lookup page? Does it show on your window sticker?
Sorry I meant order tracking page, I don't have a window sticker yet, I was just scheduled today. It is supposed to build on June 30th.

On the order tracking I can see all the other options (including interior protection package) but I don't see the charger or NACS adaptor anywhere.

I was just wondering if the charger is tracked differently or if my dealer just missed the checkbox and I need to put in an accessories order.

Oh I never even looked at those sections ?

I didn’t order it but I checked another car on a dealers lot with the option and it doesn’t show on the website so you’re probably good. Wait until your window sticker comes up to confirm.

FWIW I think the adapter is great but the ford mobile chargers are crap for level 2 charging (At least both our 2021’s chargers overheated constantly even if in cool conditions, hence we went with Grizzl-E with no issues). And $500 is a joke.

I also think it’s funny that interior protection package (floor mats and cargo mat) is $550 if including it with build when they sell them for $205 and $160 if you buy them separately. Might as well use your FordPass points after purchase to buy them. Or I swapped mine for EBay/Amazon custom ones that cover more area for 1/4 the price. Just my 2 cents.

I agree, I would definitely wait until your window sticker is made because it will definitely show up on there. If it isn't on there, I'm sure you can order one through the dealer or you can get a generic one on Amazon for 1/4 of the price (if you don't mind that it's not genuine Ford accessory, $600 or however much they cost now is very expensive for what it is in my opinion). I wish my dealer order didn't come with interior package or the charger, but can't be too picky in times like this ?

I also got news that my 2nd choice dealership received 2 MME's (gray and white) this week, but the dealership I put deposit down on still has no news. Keeping my hopes up!

Thanks for the advice, it's my first time custom ordering a car and I didn't realise it wasn't a great deal. I don't really want to change it now because I don't want my order to get delayed. If I order again in the future I will definitely think these things through first!

Thanks, I'll definitely wait for the sticker, I mostly care about the NACS adaptor so if it isn't there I'll look at getting one on Amazon!

Don't feel too bad about not getting a great deal because at the end of the day you are getting exactly what you want. I initially wanted magenta, could not find one near me, and I ended up settling for a black one (my 2nd choice).

I found the same car I ordered (GT Eruption Green) at a dealer 90 miles away. They increased MSRP by $2K and of course added various fees. Trying to negotiate by phone/email so I don't waste the 90 mile drive. It arrived yesterday - only showed as in stock on the Ford website, nothing on the dealer website. I might have appeared too eager...No update on the one I ordered since it was built early April. Dealer where I ordered hasn't returned my calls/email. ETA was this week. My area has several in stock black GTs with more in transit. Black was down my list of preferred colors but may end up being the way I go.
