Thanks eponyinil,

Just curious did your insurance go up? I am looking for a new insurance company.
Thanks
It did go up but only because it is a new car. My quote was $1,237/year

What is the difference with your old rate?
Up from $936/year for 2017 Mustang EcoBoost - no accidents or tickets.

I will be paying double my current insurance rate. My 2014 C Max is currently $570.00 a year.

Maybe it makes sense, the Mach e is worth double than my C Max.

The comp and collision portion might double. I wouldn't expect the liability portion to change much.

I still love it! We ended up ordering the ChargePoint Flex home charger since the Ford Connect is on back order until April. Just came from Amazon and will be installed this weekend. Looking forward to it because I am current charging every night on the 110 house line and only get about 8% overnight, which is not ideal. The charge has been hanging out around 90% because the fast charger doesn’t go over 80% and then the slowness of the current home charger.

I am learning a lot about the charging and the range. Admittedly am a little disappointed in the range. I didn’t realize that the AWD would have that much lower range. My fault for not looking into it more but it is looking more and more like an ā€œin townā€ car. Probably won’t do many road trips. Range between charges actually ends up being around 175 when you consider having the heat/AC on most of the year, acceleration, etc... Reminds me of Apollo 13 when they were trying to cut everything back to run the ship and get back to earth.?

Still trying to get the phone as a key to work. I think it may have to do with the Bluetooth. There is also confusion because apparently you can’t have the Bluetooth on and run Apple CarPlay which then turns off the key and FordPass. I am sure this is user error, so I will figure it out. Also, I have noticed that the FordPass app has a huge impact on my phone battery use, but if you turn location on only while using, it also effects the key, etc...

One note on the financing is that we opted for the Ford Option, 48 months and 15k miles. We picked up the car last Friday and we were all pre-approved. We still haven’t signed the loan paperwork because apparently Ford Finance doesn’t recognize the MachE as a model in their system. So, technically I am driving it around and don’t own it.
I love the space inside and the wireless phone charger! The is a perfect balance between buttons and options on the screen. I will be adding a small bottle of glass cleaner in the front console to wipe down all of the fingerprints. Tons of compliments and people stopping to check it out.

After Day 5, I would still buy it!

Ouch, 175 is no good. Hoping it's mainly due to the weather/heater for you and that will change substantially when it warms up. I ordered the same model but located in SoCal so should be a little better range I think.

I thought the same thing about the Bluetooth and CarPlay, but now I realize that as long as the PaaK and CarPlay work, it's all good so I leave the Bluetooth on and FordPass app open. I can still make phone calls and do what I need to do via CarPlay. I gave my wife the key fob and I exclusively use the PaaK. (I'm more comfortable with using the keypad and backup pin to drive, if needed, than she is.)

Ford Credit does recognize the Mach-E in the system. My Options contract has already been completed and booked as have others. The issue is most likely with your dealers system (my dealer had similar issues getting their system to work).

I think you'll like the Home Flex. I got it too. Really easy to use, the holster to hold the handle is really nice, the app works great and the cord is really flexible even in cold temps.

I think the GOM is being a bit conservative on the displayed range due to the cold weather. I think you can get further than what it shows on there. It helps a lot if you precondition your car with a departure time or use the remote start while it's plugged in to warm it up!

I'm taking mine on a road trip this weekend beyond my point of no return (home) on one charge. It's going to be fun!

I'm likely to do the same - I think I would have more tolerance for PaaK bugs and battery life impacts than my wife would. Prefer to make it a more seamless experience for her and deal with the bugs myself.

I’ll put a code in every time if it means not having to carry another key. So if PaaK is working, you can both enter and start the vehicle, yes?
