After reading all the posts in this thread all I can think of is "Holy S#it, where's the Tylenol!" That and the "Dead Puppies" song I remember from the Doctor Demento show from the 70's and 80's. ?

@Mike G, would dealer intervention still be needed to clear the recall for the car (Ford Pass, Ford website, Carfax, etc.) if you do the FDRS route?
Yes...they would still go in using FDRS, and it would tell them there was an open FSA requirement...it would then check to make sure the relevant files have been updated and then provide the tech with a code to prove that the updates had been performed in order to clear the recall.

The extra 12 minutes is keeping the DC-DC converter active from the HV battery. You will not be using the 12V battery power during this time, which may be dead and would not solve the recall problem.
Exactly, it's just long enough to get the kid out of the car seat and shut the door...so that when you get back to the car with a cart full of groceries (and those 4 pints of B&J Chocolate Fudge Brownie you got on a BOGO) that you'll discover that your car now won't let you in and your 12V battery is dead. But you've got the kid with you...and ice cream that's starting to melt....so you make lemonade. Right?

The car does monitor 12V voltage and as Mach-Lee pointed out, the app should be updated soon to provide more 12V warnings if it detects abnormal readings.

But voltage is just one aspect of battery health. Voltage can read fine even if the battery is bad. Lead acids are pretty primitive and “dumb” so it’s hard to get a true assessment of health status without doing an external load test. They can and will die without any prior warning.
True.
But it's more common than not that a 12V battery that is growing tired and approaching its end of useful life will exhibit a declining ability to hold on to a "healthy" Resting Voltage.

Or put another way, if my Mach-E battery shows a pattern of resting voltage of 12.5-12.7V every morning before heading out, let's say for the 1st 2 years, and then it breaks that pattern and I start finding it at 12.1-12.3 in the morning.......

Considering it's the Mach-E?
I'm replacing it before it pukes on me. I won't be squeezing for every inch of life I can get out of a Mach-E 12V battery.

My personal Phoenix experience is that 12V battery insta-death is a very real possibility when outside temps are over 105F, which is also worst-case for being unable to open a door. Leaving work one summer, my car started completely fine. As I was leaving the parking lot, I remembered I left something at my desk, so I parked the car and went back into the office. 5 minutes later, the battery barely had enough juice to unlock the doors. So, it sounds like 1995 Integras should be subject to this same recall.

As we all await the fix, here is another way to be proactive....if you text this number, the Ford staff behind it can give you real time data on your 12V. If you have a 2-3 year old car, might be good to check in.

Here's the number: 734-892-0892
Thank you for the EV Advisor reminder! I had them check mine. SOC 61% and 12.4 volts. Do I need to replace it? It’s been parked since 10 this morning.

61% SOC is kinda low.

Mine reports 12.5V and 89% (after I refreshed the data) and it's been sitting overnight. I did have it charge back up yesterday afternoon when I got home from running errands.

You may want to try doing the BMS learned values reset before you go out for a nice long drive to see if you can get that SOC back up to at least 80% or so.

BMS LV Reset:
Without pressing the brake pedal, press the start button to put the vehicle in Accessory mode.

With your foot off the brake, flash the high beams with the stalk 5 times, and then depress and release the brake pedal 3 times, and observe the small red battery icon in the instrument cluster flash three times to acknowledge.

Press the start button to shut the vehicle off.

Start the vehicle and go out for a drive to completely charge the 12V battery up.

Has anyone with Android seen the 12v battery reading?

Is the expected update for PCM/SOBDMC related to the OTA DCMX-25.BB that was discussed in the thread below? I find the description really cryptic. So is the fix already present since two weeks?
=> OTA updates 6/6/25 (early access)

I don't think so. DCMX-25.BB seems like a door control module update; the recall fix will be a PCM/powertrain module update. They're for different types of lockouts. My guess is DCMX-25.BB prevents a post-OTA situation where the door modules can't communicate with the BCM to check lock status. The 12V battery would still be alive (lights still work), but doors won't open since they can't verify they're unlocked. The recall software deals with the situation when the 12V has completely died (no lights work).

Ford has already made a running change on the 2025 production line as of June 3rd (per NHTSA docs), but it will take some time to backport those changes to all the previous model year powertrain software packages (there are unique files for each half model year and powertrain combo). They are still working on the software so it can be ready by October.

I hope this means the 2025s stuck under the stop sale order can be updated and released soon. ?
